I sense serious foaming.

(T) trains run in 2 sections all weekend:

125 to 42 St/Grand Central

42 St/Grand Central to Hanover Sq

Transfer at 42 St/Grand Central to continue your trip.

*****

(Z) trains extended to Bay Parkway rush hours.

How does this affect my trip?: <Z> trains will run at uneven times due to the extension. Please allow for additional time for the (Z) to arrive on the Jamaica line.

Because it likely would never actually happen:

No (L) service on the entire route. Shuttle buses run from Broadway Junction-Bedford Avenue. For 14th Street in Manhattan, use the M14 Bus.

(C) trains run normal service to West 4th, then via the (F) to Broadway-Lafayette, the (M) to Essex Street, the (J) to Broadway Junction and finally replacing the (L) from Broadway Junction-Rockaway Parkway (meaning the flyover would be in use).

For Sixth Avenue-14th Street, transfer at Essex, Broadway-Lafayette or West 4th for the (F), for Union Square, transfer to the (6) at Broadway-Lafayette (uptown transfer requires an unlimited ride MetroCard as it is an OOS transfer).

(F) replaces the (C) between Jay Street-Euclid Avenue.

(G) replaces the (F) between Bergen Street-Coney Island. Transfer between trains at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.

Or even crazier: No (D) between 205th St and 145th St.

Shuttle buses would only operate in two sections; first between 161st St/Yankee Stadium and 145th St, running via Macombs Dam Bridge, Macombs Pl, Frederick Douglass Blvd, and 145th St.

The second section would run between Bedford Park Blvd (4) station and Norwood/205th St station via Bedford Park Blvd, Bainbridge Av.

For north of 161st St, use (4), Bx1/2, or Bx32.

Please excuse this minor inconvenience because we are making emergency work due to the major storm.

(D) Trains are not running between Stillwell Avenue and 34th Street-Herald Square

Effective Immediately September 4th to September 13th.

Free Shuttle Buses Provide Alternative Service

Runs in 3 sections:

1.) Stillwell Avenue and 36th Street

2.) 36th Street and Grand Street

3.) Grand Street and 34th Street-Herald Square

Why is this service being changed?

We are doing maintenance work north of 9th Street and rehabilitation at the 25th Avenue Station in both directions.

*Note that the maintenance work north of 9th Street ends at September 7th

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

(N) Trains are not running between 8th Avenue and Pacific Street

Effective Immediately September 4th to September 7th.

Free Shuttle Buses Provide Alternative Service between 8th Avenue and Pacific Street

Why is this service being changed?

We are doing maintenance work north of 9th Street and track work south of 45th Street.

*(N) trains cannot be rerouted via the (D) line due to rehabilitation at 25th Street Station in both directions.

*8th Avenue can be a terminal because:

- Northbound Trains stop at 8th Avenue at the Northbound Platform First

- Trains goes and stops when the rear train is at the switch signal

- Trains go to the 2 switches

- Trains go back to the 8th Avenue at the southbound platform, and continues its route to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.

I was trying to be funny there, as that is a crazy G.O., but one that at the same time could actually be done. People in East New York would likely not realize such a G.O. is possible.

I doubt the (MTA) would ever actually schedule my (C) re-route using sections of both primary Eastern Division trunks.

The Manhattan Bridge has a structural problem and needs repairs. The (N), and (Q) is rerouted through the Montague Street Tunnel, and the (;), and (D) trains are temporarily suspended. The West End Line would be temporarily replaced with a (S) train that terminates at 36th Street where people can transfer to the (N), and the (R). The Concourse Line would be replaced with a temporarily (C) extension to Norwood-205th Street.

My own G.O a little bit more realistic.

Due to the signal modernization at E. 180th Street station, there will be no service on the (2) line between 241st street and 96th street. (2) service will run from 137th street- City College to Flatbush Avenue.

Due to emergency Trackwork at Lenox terminal all (3) service has been suspended between lenox terminal and new lots avenue. for service from Franklin avenue to new lots avenue, Shuttle trains are operating between Utica Avenue and New Lots avenue.

How Will This Affect My Trip?:

for service along the (2) line from 96th st to Wakefield transfer to a shuttle bus at 96th street to take you to 149th st grand concourse. there you can transfer to an Uptown (5) Express or Local train to continue your journey. for service past 180th st on the (2) line you can transfer to a shuttle bus which is operating under the El.

For service to/from Lenox terminal shuttle buses are running from 96th street station on the (1)(2) lines to Lenox terminal and back.

for service to new lots avenue (S) shuttle trains are running every 30 minutes out of Utica avenue and every 25 minutes out of new lots avenue.

Why Is Service Being Disrupted?:

service is being disrupted for the sole purpose of placing new tracks and modernizing our rotting infrastructure. sorry for the trouble but this work is necessary to keep the system safe and the government off our backs from finding out what we actually do with the federal funding.

Alright, I take a shot at this...

Due to emergency structural work on the Manhattan Bridge, (:P(D)(N) and (Q) train service is affected:

  • No (:P train service between Manhattan and Brooklyn. (:P trains run between Harlem-145 St (Bedford Park Blvd rush hrs) and Broadway-Lafayette St, then via the (F) to 2 Av, the last stop. For service to/from Brooklyn, transfer between the (:P and (N)(Q)(R) trains at 34 St-Herald Sq.

  • (D) trains run in two sections:
    1. Norwood-205 St to 34 St-Herald Sq, and
    2. Atlantic Av-Pacific St to Coney Island-Stillwell Av

Special (S) trains run between W 4 St and Grand St. For service to/from W 4 St, transfer between the (:P and (D) trains at 42 St-Bryant Park.

[*]All (N) trains run via the (R) line between Canal St and Atlantic Av-Pacific St. Some Brooklyn-bound (N) trains terminate at Whitehall St. Transfer to a Brooklyn-bound (N) train at Whitehall St to continue your trip.

[*]All (Q) trains run via the (R) line between Canal St and DeKalb Av. Also, all (Q) trains run approximately every 20 minutes between Ditmars Blvd and Stillwell Av.

Please allow for additional travel time until this issue is resolved.

Why is service being disrupted? A crack has been discovered on the Manhattan Bridge (again). As per orders from the NYC Dept of Transportation, train service must be diverted or suspended while work is done to ensure the stability of the bridge, as well as the safety of our customers. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
