The TransitMan Posted September 10, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 10, 2011 Nice update BUT I think the order of Prevost is YUKON and Charleston, unless if that has changed.
User Posted September 12, 2011 Share #4 Posted September 12, 2011 They're getting a good deal on those Orion 3Gs, usually they're each worth more. Gonna be great seeing them out of Queens Village, who doesn't have any NGs I believe. Any idea where the pilot will be sent first? or is that a surprise? lol

East New York Posted September 12, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted September 12, 2011 Nice update BUT I think the order of Prevost is YUKON and Charleston, unless if that has changed. Thanks! Any idea where the pilot will be sent first? or is that a surprise? lol I believe Castleton since they're supposed to get the first batch. The pilot is awaiting acceptance, and will be at Zerega this evening or tomorrow morning. The depot assignment order may change because the XD40's will be delivered simultaneously. I'll look into it tomorrow.
Metro CSW Posted September 13, 2011 Share #7 Posted September 13, 2011 If the assignments are subject to change and I would do the placements I would put 4810-4839 @ Ulmer Park, 4840-4869 @ Queens Village & 4870-4899 @ Castleton. 7000-7029 @ Queens Village, 7030-7059 @ Castleton & 7060-7089 @ Ulmer Park. Rick44 Posted September 22, 2011 Share #18 Posted September 22, 2011 I have 2 questions. 1. When the evaluation is over, does the get to keep all the buses they evaluated? 2. Is the best bus batch-ordered after evaluation?
Engr08 Posted September 22, 2011 Share #19 Posted September 22, 2011 I have 2 questions. 1. When the evaluation is over, does the get to keep all the buses they evaluated? 2. Is the best bus batch-ordered after evaluation? I've ask that question before and someone told me yes. The MTA will keep these buses because they were paid for. East New York Posted September 22, 2011 Author Share #20 Posted September 22, 2011 So 2400s going to stay at Ulmer Park untill its pilot testing is over, then head to QV? Why can't they let UP start off the 07's I guess we get the X3-45 first I will take it. Has UP every beeen the first to start a local order ? UP hasn't had new local buses in more than a decade, so I think them getting them first is not even important. Let's just thank God they are getting anything at all! I have 2 questions. 1. When the evaluation is over, does the get to keep all the buses they evaluated? 2. Is the best bus batch-ordered after evaluation? 1. Yes, the MTA owns them. 2. More or less yes. There will be a wide range of criteria the MTA will look over. Most all of which is explained on the first page of this thread.
Rick44 Posted September 23, 2011 Share #21 Posted September 23, 2011 @engr08 & East New York - Thanks for the answer and I guess that's okay. Though I wish they didn't keep the Nova's.
Metro CSW Posted September 23, 2011 Share #22 Posted September 23, 2011 So does this mean that UP is getting both Orion VIIs and Xcelsiors all in November and December. I still say that 7000-7029 should go to UP and then CAS ---> QV. just saying (?_?)
Future ENY OP Posted September 23, 2011 Share #23 Posted September 23, 2011 So 2400s going to stay at Ulmer Park untill its pilot testing is over, then head to QV? I thought UP is getting the prevosts first. Of course this is the MTA anything is subject to change. Prevosts to QV??? If this is true, I'm not too about this.
