1979 NYC Subway Map

Since the topic of the Subway in the 1970s has been 'Mind-Boggling' many of us who weren't around yet to witness it, I have scanned a few sections of one of my 1979 NYC Subway Maps for us to view. With the information the map feeds off, we can discuss how the Transit Authority has changed or swapped services over the past 28-30 years. There will definitely be Pro's and Con's

I always wondered what it would still be like if the N and R never exchanged terminals in Queens in 1987, and the N went to Forest Hills-71 Av, and the R to Astoria...:confused:

 

That's how I remember it. This is an R to Ditmars, watch the closing doors.
