Cool, but I expected these numbers to be higher by 10-20mph.That's kinda slow in my opinion I expected something between 27mph-35mph.The (1) hauls ass the entire trip mostly b\c its independent. You can hit at least 35mph btwn almost every station.

The reason they're so low is because almost half the time is being spent idling at stations.

Surprised the (S) was the top of the list! It doesn't have extreme SRO conditions and dwell times, and there aren't all that many stops.... I expected ® at the top, or (W).

The numbers must include station waits as well as slowing down and speeding up, because I have always imagined the subway to be at around 35-40 mph whenever I ride it.

I am surprised by some of these numbers though, especially the (S) (42nd st.) having the highest speeds.

If only all the other lines were as short, as independent and had as many train sets as the (7). lol.
