Occupy Wall Street protestors have gone into the (2)(3) Wall Street station and are occupying the uptown track. What do you do?
Send some (3)s to South Ferry to not delay (1), short-turn most at Chambers St, (2) replaces the (3) in Brooklyn and runs via Lexington Ave Express in both directions.

There are stalled trains at Westchester Square, Parkchester (both downtown), and Whitlock Ave (uptown). What do you do?

2) (6) Pelham Bay park-Middletown Road (Southbound Only)

3) (6) Limited Express Service to Pelham Bay Park skipping all stops discharging at Pelham and doing a local run south bound to middletown then back into the yard

4) send all available MOW equipment to rescue the stalled trains.

5) (Bx4) Provides shuttle service between Whitlock Ave and Westchester Sq

Arrest them for tresspassing. There are signs that say "do not enter the track", right?

----

Moving on...

An (N) train jumped the track while entering the 60th Street tunnel, completely obsuring (N)(Q)(R) Queens Service. Lexington Av- 63 St is under repairs. There can be no trains in the 63 St connector north of the 57 St Station. (G) Trains are not running north of Bedford-Nostrand due to construction.

How do you re- route (F)(M)(N)(Q)(R) Service?

Try and solve this monstrosity....

Due to heavy winds, (1)(A)(B)(D)(J)(M)(N)(Q)(Z) service can not cross thier respective bridges. Due to Construction, The Montague Street tunnels are not taking any trains through them. The (F) was re-routed via the (A) from W4 to Jay St because of construction in the Rutgers tubes.. (C) Trains terminate at 2 Av. Because of Station Rehab on the Sea Beach Line from 8 Av to Kings Highway, (N) trains have to use temporary platforms, but only northbound. All local stations on the (Q) are being re-done, and only (B) trains can run on the Brighton Line. A signal room fire has made the switches stuck on the (1) pointing toward 137 St yard. A derailment at 207 Stblocks the center and uptown 1 tracks. Essex st on the Nassau St Line is under repair. Chambers St is being renovated. and, An (M) gets stuck at Myrtle Av Station blocking the center and westbound tracks.

How do You Re-route (1)(A)(B)(D)(J)(M)(N)(Q)(Z) service?

:);) good luck!

Ok, we going too far now, why don't we just say a nuclear warhead hit the Empire State Building and rendered all train service in Manhattan unusable?

@VWM: You know, if things were this bad, I'm sure Transit would probably be shut down, but sure, I'll bite:

(1) - split; single tracked between 242 St and 225 St; normal between 207 St and South Ferry, all trains (de)board on the downtown platform at 215 St

(A) - normal service between 207 St and Lefferts Blvd/Howard Beach; Rockaway Park Shuttle runs between Far Rockaway and Rockaway Park; shuttle buses connect Howard Beach and Far Rockaway

(;) - Atlantic Av to Coney Island only, single tracked between Atlantic and Prospect Park

(D) - split; 205 St to WTC via 6th Avenue (connect to (A)(C)(F) at Canal St for Brooklyn service); Pacific St to Stillwell Av (use (R) for Jay St to Pacific St service)

(J) - Jamaica-Parsons to Marcy Av, full local; shuttle buses connect Marcy Av and Canal St, use (4)(5)(6) for other stations

(M) - split; 71 Av to 2 Av; Myrtle Avenue shuttle

(N) - split; Ditmars Blvd to Whitehall St, full local; 36 St to Stillwell Av; use (D)(R) for other stations

(Q) - no service, use (:)(N)(R)

(R) - split; 71 Av to Canal St or Whitehall St (dependent on space); Court St to 95 St

(Z) - no service, use (J)

IRT service should be beefed up wherever possible as an alternative for service between Manhattan and Brooklyn

Good luck extracting a couple hundred people from down on the tracks. I'd say send a train up there at full speed and let them all occupy hell, hehe. ;)

Here's an interesting one: At the 47th-50th Streets station (:)(D)(F)(M), the middle two tracks are out of service and trains cannot pass through. How would you reroute trains? Remember that the (F)(M) use the middle downtown track and the (B)(D) use the middle uptown track. Use the track map if you need to.

I got this:

(;) trains suspended.

Downtown (M) trains are rerouted via 63rd street and arrive at the express track along with the (D) and (F) trains.

(F) and (M) trains switch to the local tracks after 42nd Bryant Park.

Uptown (D) trains are rerouted via the (C) between West 4 Street and 59 Street Columbus Circle.

Uptown (C) trains run express between Canal Street and 59 Street. For local service, transfer to the (D) or (E) trains.

Please expect delays on downtown (D),(F), and (M) service.

Due to a stalled train at 34 St-Herald Square, a track fire at Times Square, and a broken rail at Canal St on the Broadway Line.....(your opinion goes here)

you have to specify which track.

Because if it's the...

uptown (N)(R)...

(R) via bridge. (N)(R) Broadway Exp.

uptown (Q)

(N)(Q) via lower manhattan. (Q) Broadway local. same for downtown. specify which track tho, because we cant solve it without info like that.

How do you re- route (F)(M)(N)(Q)(R) Service?

(F) trains run via the (M) from 36 Street to 47/50 Streets-Rockefeller Center

(N) trains run in two sections-

-From Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard to Queensboro Plaza

and

From Lexington Avenue-59 Street to Coney Island.

(Q) trains are terminating/originating at Times Square-42 Street from Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue

(R) trains are terminating/originating at 57 Street-7 Avenue from Bay Ridge-95 Street
