Rearrange the Suffolk Clipper, add some sunday service to the S92, S62, S1, S54. S58, S66, 10C, increase service on the 10C from 3 hours to 1.5 hours. Add trips to the S31, but most of all, Suffolk Clipper.

how frequent should the clipper become? I know reverse service would help especially if it linked nassau

The Clipper use to have 12 runs a day when it was started in 1996 and had actual Coach buses from HARRAN, but not that many rode the bus. A news report said that the run the reporter took only had six riders. So over the years cuts were made to the route until it is what it is today.

Although its nice to talk about changes, with there being no money in the system right now (The Divison that runs SCT literely has almost no people) and all it will be is talk.

The Fare increase is going to fund a one million dollar budget gap. There is suppose to me a million dollars coming from the state but no word what that will be used for. (There is a rumor that a Legeslator wants to use it to help service) But based on passed evidence of what Suffolk has done with state money for SCT I'm not so sure that will happen.

S98: Copies the S92 and 10C a lot

10C: What do you mean?

10A/B: I wouldn't. Maybe cut every other bus

10D/E: I would make it a loop

S94: I'd rather have it just be the 10C(Renamed S10) and adjust 10C schedules. I agree about Sunday Service. 10C should get Sunday service as well

Since most Suffolk County Transit (excluding S92/10E) is $2 and 25 cent fee, $2.25 total, only think I want them to have MetroCard farebox, so we don't have to cough up extra money for 3rd trip.

There isn't a 25 cent fee, the 25 cents is for a Transfer (Its the only charge that hasn't changed in over twenty or so years). Though I don't think ST will ever get a Metro Card (Partly due to the County Not liking the MTA over the Pay Roll Tax, but also I have a feeling that those who are low income or use government help don't have the money to buy one in the first place)

There already is a S69 (which you said retain so why call a 10D/E,which is run like one route, S69?).

Route Numbers aren't that important.

You are aware that in order to extend the S68 you most likely would need another bus or two (not really cost effective) and second the S66 was extended to Riverhead because the S90 wasn't very good to transfer to from the S66. Why extend a route that primarily runs in a different area along a route that was the cause for another route to be extend. (I mean if you could use the money to operate an extra bus on the S68 to add a bus to the S90 itself, or to add extra buses to the S66 instead of adding to the S68) Also I'm not aware of any complaints that would even need the S68 to be expanded.

The 7D and E could be combined into one route and a Study recommended to the County but keep as the sign 7D.

The S76 was created for the sole purpose that it serve the area it travels. (Besides I'm not aware of there a need to go from Coram to Stony Brook Village)

Do that many people really through ride between the forks?

Some S92 didn't like the fare raise for the Sunday Service at first, and a few weren't to happy with the Sunday Service at first as well.

That's what I meant. transfer fee.

S68: Extended to Riverhead via S90 routing after Center Moriches

The 66 gets more usage than the 68 does, being that there's more of a demand to service to Mastic/Mastic beach (66) than there is to North Bellport (68).... Notice that there's no route runs straight on Montauk Hwy b/w patchogue & ctr moriches (and with good reason)...... It made sense for SCT to send 66's on up to riverhead, since that loomed more efficient for them.... Having had 68's originally sent up to riverhead, would've resulted in S66 riders (the more prevalent route) emptying out for the 68...... Public transportation exists to serve the masses....

extending the 68 to riverhead via the S90 (regardless of which spur you want to choose) doesn't really solve much of anything.... folks would still take the 66....

There probably was a stright run from Patchouge to Center Moriches back when Center Moriches was the end point for the S66. Prior to the S66 extention to Riverhead the S66 use to travel on Montauk from Shirley to Center Moriches (Like the S68 does on its two trips to Center Moriches) on some trips and through Mastic Beach (its current route) on other trips. I have no idea however if these Montauk runs were done on runs when the S66 would travel on Montauk from Patchouge to Shirley (or North Bellport)

North is also served by the 7B , which could also be a reason why the S68 doesn't get much riders most of the time. I have seen at least once, however, a good amount of people use the S68 when the S66 doesn't go to Bellport Villiage. I have seen though almost nobody, though a few times there has been one or two people, use the S68 by the time it reaches Center Moriches on its two trips out there.

The Original S66 ran between Patchogue and Center Moriches. It ran as the current S68 runs today, but with more short-turns to Mastic, and via CR80. When the S68 was created, the S66 was Deverted onto Old Country Road with some buses running its original routing. I think that the Peak time routing was implemented for better service to that area.

In the north fork, there are a lot of Places of Interest . Many people would want to go to those areas. There also isn't direct service between the forks. Every time Suffolk tried splitting the 92, there was always customer opposition. Although the S92 looks like it should be cut because of its awkward travel path. People actually rid it between the forks.

There have been attempts to split the S92 in the past?

There may be direct service in the future one of the south folk villages has passed a deal for a Water Taxi that will go to Greenport, The Villiage of Greenport has to agree to it. If they do it should start running by the end of the year.

That would explain why the first S66 bus from Riverhead to Patchouge follows the S68 route.

I wonder where they Short turned in Mastic, and why I mean Matic is only a few miles to Center Moriches.

S31: Combine with S25

S69: combine with 3D south of smith haven mall

S94: extend to montauk RR via Edgemere

10A: I would totally ride that if there was a bridge that connected Shelter Island to the two forks. The only way to get to Shelter Island is by ferry, and I dunno if the bus can go on the ferry and if both are timed to meet each other

S31: I would make the S31 Parts of the S1 and S33 because they arent loop routes

with the loop pattern on the 25, you will have to make it so that the bus actually is a loop. Or it can be a tripper just like the MTA and Bee-Line do. Otherwise, it defeats the S25 purpose.

S69: Well the S69 and 3D both operate at different schedules. The S69 operates between 8:30 and 10:45PM Operating Days and the 3D from 7AM-8:30 pm. The S69 is a late night S60 and S62.Routing.

S94: True that. I would make iot so that the S94 connects with the 10C and the LIRR
