soccer: are people really comparing lionel messi to pele ??
golf: tiger woods needs to sit his ass down somewhere.... it's someone else's time to shine now....
tennis: lol @ djokovic losing to isner in saturday's match.... yeah it's the BNP paribas open, but still.....
NCAA final four trny To tell the truth, I tend not to watch the intermediate rounds.... On occasion, I'll watch the initial round for possible upset chances, and from the final four on..... Depending if there's nothin else on of course, as I'm not an NCAA fan like that.....

(B35) LOL here my replies to your takes on sports news.
On Tiger. No way he going to break Nicholas's all time record for most major wons. With that said, I still think Tiger could maybe 1-2 more majors before he hangs it up.
On the NCAA Tournment. Other than the First round on Friday i.e Duke being upset, this has been a boring tournment so far. Ky. is a huge favorite to win this tourment and already being called by some NCAA Hoops analysts the best team in college in many years. To show how boring the NCAA tourment has been, ESPN has spent much of their last few days on "sportscenter" at least till today (3/20/12)on Peyton Mannning. ouch.
On Messi being compared to Pele. Just an example of today media overhyping a current great player. Same thing here in US with our sports stars. Perfect example was at the start of his carrer in 2003-'04, when many people was stating "Queen James" LOL to be the next Micheal Jordan.

Feel free to discuss anything from Wrestlemania 2012 from Miami here. Of course in the most hyped WWE event in years, the WWE Heavyweight Title of course features future WWE legend 'The Roc" versus current Champion John Cena. Any reactions?

1. Shaemus won the World Title against Daniel Bryan in under thirty seconds. Squash match.
2. Kane beats Randy Orton. Really good match.
3. Big Show wins the Intercontinental Title via pin. Thank Big Show's punch.
4. Divas tag match. Maria and Kelly beat Eve and Beth Phoenix.
5. Hell in a Cell match. Undertaker beats Triple H with HBK as Special Guest Referee. So far the best match. Very brutal, too. 'Taker had welts all over his back thanks to those humongous chair shots.
6. Team Raw bets Team Smackdown. Eve Torres fully turns heel, kicking Ryder in the crotch.
7. CM Punk retains the WWE Title by submission courtesy of the Anaconda Vice. Jericho was Punk's opponent.
8. Rock/Cena match into overdrive now!

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you get a free pass. Present it with great logic and sound reasoning, people will praise you even if they disagree. But argue with a poor sense of logic, pettiness, and many holes, expect people like myself to criticize you. I, myself, don't respect opinions. I respect arguments. So if you want to argue, argue WELL.

Shifting gears, last night (4/2/12)although they played sloppy at times in 2nd half, Kentucky won the 2012 NCAA Tournment over Kansas. It the first championship on either college or NBA title for long time coach John Calipari. However the real highlight of this title game was the introduction to America the '2' top prospects expected to come out of the NCAA for the NBA in years.
Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist and the player expected to be the #1 pick in the 2012 NBA draft Anothny Davis. Personally i think it's a waste of time if players like Davis and Gilchrist to only stay '1' year in college. The NBA(also the NFL)needs a minor leagues since like 2000. That should expanding the "D" league if needed.

Shifting gears. A much thanks to RTS Command for addressing this in the shoutbox. Pat Summitt the Coach of Tennessee' Univ woman's basketball team has announced her retirement. Sumitt who won 8 NCAA woman's title with the lady vols and all time winningest coach ever in college hoops(male or female)is a legend to say the least. In Woman's sports she the John Wooden, Vince Lomabradi, Scotty Bowman of her field. IMO the NCAA should rename the NCAA woman basketball championship trophy the Pat Summitt Trophy. With that said, best of wishes to Pat Summitt.

Flat out, I hate Messi. Real Madrid and Chelsea all the way. It has been such a great weekend. Chelsea beating Barca 1-0 in the Champions League, and then Khederia and Ronaldo putting the daggers in yesterday 2-1.

This English Preimer League update is presented by British Airlines.
Well the 2011-'12 English Preimer League is now history. On the final day in what most soccer analysts/fans(I admit i am no 'soccer experts lol) feel was the best finish ever in that league history, Manchester City the long 'little brother' to the most famous soccer team in the world Manchester United has won their English title in the 'modern era' and first overall since 1969. Sergio Aguero becoming a household name in the soccer world.
Down 2-1 with only few moments left in the match, during stoppage time, they score 2 dramatic goals to beat the Queens Park Rangers, 3-2. Meanwhile Manchester United won their game 1-0 easily.
However, despite both intra-city rivals finishing with 27 league wins and 87 points Man. City wins the title on 'goal differences."
I missed church this morning but in way, i am glad to see this histroic ending to the EPL. Reminder me of say the last day of the 2011 MLB regular season. Only good news for Man. United is they will be playing in the Champions League/European Tournment.
Dumb question? Why can't Manchester City and Man., United play a 1-game sudden game playoff (winner takes all)? Soccer fans you chance to chat.

If you are looking for a sports analyst, I would be honored to take up the job.
Anyways, my friends surely got at me when Chelsea got beat by Liverpool on the 8th. Worst day ever. The Champions League Finals v. Bayern are in 6 days, time for some redemption. Bayern is clearly a more agressive team by the statistics, but seeing Chelsea beat Barcelona surely made me believe in my team even more. Tune into FSC or ESPN3 for some hype action on May 19, or they may even put it on ESPN2 if the soccer world gets lucky.

Ahh yes I saw this one on YouTube too. Lots of people were spamming my news feed on Facebook about this goal. I only saw one MC match this season and I knew from the start that they were definite title contenders. And how about the Veteran from Argentina (Even though I HATE Argentina) Sergio Agüero capping off an excellent season. It is a pity that they got eliminated in UEFA.
