I have a Panasonic DMC-FZ8 (Nickname: Sweetness). It works wonders since I've been able to improve my photography alot with it. But time to step it up even more.

Nation, here is my wishlist:

Nikon D60 with a 18-55 mm lens, with also a 55-200 mm lens.

From there I'll keep going up the levels of DSLRs and whatnot.

Stylus 600 with 256 meg card (sold to girlfriend B))

SP560UZ with 1 gig card

Stylus 770SW with 1 gig card.

What i'd like to have is a SP570UZ, and a Stylus 1030SW each with 2 gig card.

Well, my gear is as follows, prioritized by order of most frequent use:

1) Canon HV20 for video recording and some stills.

2) Canon EOS Digital Rebel (the original 6 MP one) which won't be replaced until there's a new lens mount.

3) Canon PowerShot S500 as something small to take with me for better pictures than the HV20 can take, though it isn't used a lot.

4) My iPhone's camera... listed for the sole purpose of it being a last resort if I don't have anything else on me.

I currently shoot with a Nikon D200 as lead and D100 as second. I'm happy with my gear but will probably become a FotoPig around Xmas. And then live on dog food.

I heard dog food can be good for you. I've dined on cat food for a while and I'm still here. :P

I am going to upgrade my stuff this autumn i hope. Also get a monopod, carry case for it, a window mount, and hopefully some other stuff. I guess we'll see!

Metsfan, just so you know for the subway:

Photography, filming or video recording in any facility or conveyance is permitted except that ancillary equipment such as lights, reflectors or tripods may not be used. Members of the press holding valid identification issued by the New York City Police Department are hereby authorized to use necessary ancillary equipment. All photographic activity must be conducted in accordance with the provisions of this Part.

Though that doesn't necessarily apply to Amtrak...
