realizm Posted July 22, 2014 Author Share #2 Posted July 22, 2014 If you want to mess around with the beta versions of Windows 9 you can try using a emulator such as OracleBox for both PC and Mac OS platforms: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/virtualbox/downloads/index.html?ssSourceSiteId=otnjp

realizm Posted July 22, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted July 22, 2014 Apparently the new OS should run as more of a hyped up version of Windows 7 which is a big plus as Win 7 is right now the standard in the corporate end of the IT industry. Techs were advising against deploying Windows 8 in corporate environments due to the OS's instability and inflexibility not to mention it didnt have a simple stupid start button upon its release, highly annoying even with IT professionals. I have a feeling Windows 9 will be a hit not just to consumers but professionals alike. It is compatible with x86 and x64 systems and should be backwards compatible with existing 3rd party apps. Hopefully they can further enhance it so it will use only minimal hardware resources to run. Another reason why techs hated Windows 8 with a passion. They are saying it can boot in only 5 seconds? That's another plus.
