R40SlantFan Posted July 30, 2014 Share #6 Posted July 30, 2014 wow, hopefully they keep one of the A cars for the transit musem. Just like on the R44 they could probably rig lights inside the car if they can't get the normal interior lights to work.

realizm Posted July 30, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted July 30, 2014 No problem. I believe the trucks are still not functional since it broke down (motors) in the late 90s. So a locomotive such as a R156 will tow the consist. 3 R110As + R72 +72 (Both rebuilt) + 3 more R110As with a Electric diesel attached. This is actually the set up of current pump trains. The Electric Diesel CBTC equipped can run by third rail or diesel engine.

Far Rock Depot Posted July 30, 2014 Share #10 Posted July 30, 2014 They are replacing the trucks with the trucks found on the flat cars. I was just up there last week and will be back there tomorrow for my last class before the midterm. It kinda breaks my heart everytime I see them. realizm Posted July 30, 2014 Author Share #11 Posted July 30, 2014 So we should expect R156s or other locomotives to move the train as thats the common practice on what equipment to link into a work train set.
