A Canadian man claims his McDonald's added a dead mouse to his morning cup of coffee.

Ron Morais of Fredericton in New Brunswick shared the gory cup with a dead rodent at the bottom to CBC News.

"I always take the lid off to get my last sip of coffee. And when I took the lid off, there was a little bit of a surprise in my coffee cup," he told the station. "It was a dead mouse."

The customer added the mouse had been in the cup for a while and left "a few little, shall we say, presents" in the drink.

I'm here. And I'm in better shape than the mouse.
Jennifer LaHaye was with her co-worker when he made the disgusting discovery.

"'Oh my God, there's a mouse in my coffee,' is what he says. I turn around and look at him," she told the station. "The first time I looked, I actually looked and it's real, he's not joking."

McDonald's issued a statement to the station that the local public health company and a pest control company investigated the franchise and found no evidence of a pest problem.

Pretty much how I feel about it. Sort of wondering even if someone put that mouse into the cup then poured coffee by mistake. They did mishandle food like it was funny and posted it on Facebook already as it was, of course several people got fired for it...

Would not be shocked if this turned out to be a case of fraud.

It probably is but who knows.  I actually had a piece of plastic or glass in my sandwich the other day.  I was shocked and immediately called the place I ordered  take-out from and asked to speak to a manager.  He couldn't say how it got in my sandwich, but assured me that they would check all of the ingredients so that no one else had an issue. <_< I would say I was pretty lucky to realize that what I was attempting to chew on was foreign, and immediately separated it from what I was eating only to discover that was a lot worse than what I thought it was, which was a piece of a bone or something of the sort.

This place prides itself on quality and is pricey, so I know that they wouldn't want people hearing about my incident, so he immediately offered to comp my next lunch from the store on Monday, which won't be cheap, but my $25.00 - 30.00 take-out lunch will be a lot cheaper than my other options.  Since I didn't cut my mouth and no damage was done, I'll let it slide, but if it happens again I will not order from that place again and will consider suing if I'm injured.

That I can see happening as a accident but a dead mouse in your coffee? No way that would slide by anyone.

Yeah I just don't know.... Some people don't pay attention... I got my next lunch comped and the manager came to my office and personally delivered it too me.  I ordered the same amount of food that I usually get and it was all free.  I just called him up beforehand and he was like sure not a problem.  I'm sure he looked at my account and saw how much I order from that place, so it was peanuts to give me that rather than lose my business entirely.  Nonetheless, as good as the food was, I sure as checked everything before I ate it.  Sandwich, soup, panna cotta and everything else I had. lol
