TBT 2011: Toronto/Niagara to NYC Rail/Bus-Fan 1.0

Recommended Posts

Throwback Thursday's transport fanning, of sorts from Toronto to NYC in 2011. The return trip was kinda crazy.

Summary

In August 2011, I flew into Toronto City Airport, rented a car and then took public transportation to Buffalo, Greyhound to NYC and subway and local bus to Staten Island as follows.

My camera wasn't the best and some of the itinerary happened at night.

Itinerary To Canada

x23 ->  :njt: NEC/NJCL -> Newark AirTrain -> Porter Airlines PD120 -> Porter Airlines Shuttle Bus -> GO Transit Bus 21 at Union Station Bus Terminal to Mississauga- Square One.

Itinerary Return to United States/NYC

As it took a very long time to return the rental car, I ended up taking a taxi to the GO Train, otherwise I was going to take the bus.

Mississauga Transit Bus #10 -> Lakeshore West GO Train (Port Credit Station) to Burlington Station -> GO Transit Bus #12 at Burlington Station -> Niagara Falls, ON (at Stanley Road @ Hwy 420)  -> Spent a few hours at Casino and Niagara Falls -> Walked to United States at Rainbow Bridge, Cleared Passport Control -> NFTA (Niagara Falls Transportation Authority) Bus #40 to Buffalo Metropolitan Transportation Center -> GLI (Greyhound) to NYC via Rochester (and another Border Patrol Check) to PABT (W. 42nd & 8th) -> (1) to South Ferry) -> SI Ferry -> :nyct: SIR -> s55 (at Annadale Rd)

wow, these are awesome, especially that last pic!

Thanks man! I appreciate it. :)

The lens of my old point and shoot camera (Sony DSC-H20) was kinda narrow and I remember being kinda rushed to make the connections but wanted to get more angles. Thanks again everyone for all the +1's.
