Via Garibaldi 8 Posted April 2, 2015 Share #2 Posted April 2, 2015 The BxM2 change is welcomed Southbound. It should speed up the commute to and from Riverdale for us. Too many damn double parked trucks and school buses blocking 81st. Takes wayyy too long to turn onto Columbus Avenue. The really wants the BxM2 to perform better and it certainly can. It is a great route for Riverdalians. The 81st and Central Park West stop continues to garner more and more ridership... Lots of moms with their strollers and kids going to and from the Upper West Side for the museums and Central Park. As for the BxM4, that's not too bad, but hopefully it doesn't screw up my schedule too much.

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted April 2, 2015 Share #4 Posted April 2, 2015 pls add x1 sat peak 15-12mins That's existed for a while. It was around that in some cases even when I lived on Staten Island. Was great too because those buses weren't too crowded, but now... Some of them are packed...

paulrivera Posted April 2, 2015 Share #6 Posted April 2, 2015 I swear there's this conspiracy to someday get rid of the local Bx12 west of Fordham Plaza, this is like the 3rd time they've omitted the times out of Sedgwick during the daytime in the timetable. One time not too long ago they did remove all references to daytime service to Sedgwick and replaced them with "Fordham Plaza" in place of "Sedgwick Avenue" or "Fordham" in place of "University Heights" and even the map was redrawn to reflect all points west of Fordham Plaza as part of the late night route during the hours the SBS is not running. I regret not getting screenshots of those timetables...

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted April 3, 2015 Share #9 Posted April 3, 2015 Now, watch the BxM2 serve CPW in both directions That's not happening anytime soon. This route has been used informally Southbound by quite a few B/Os to save time, as Southbound trips can take much longer than Northbound trips (an hour and 20 minutes vs 40 - 45 minutes Northbound). It makes sense to re-route for that segment along Central Park West because the traffic on 81st. It is much easier to get down to 72nd and then come across to Columbus via 72nd. The 81st and Central Park West stop is only being moved across the street.
B35 via Church Posted April 3, 2015 Share #10 Posted April 3, 2015 I think myself & Bobpanda mentioned that very thing about the x68 riding (well technically, disembarking) patterns.... The x63, I know I mentioned the increase in usage on that route... I really didn't think they would increase service on the route though... Where do these 2 changes leave the x64.... JubaionBx12+SBS Posted April 3, 2015 Share #11 Posted April 3, 2015 I've noticed that M15 +Select service south of Houston has been cut tremendously during the AM Rush with this new schedule.

That's what I want to know since that's my ride home when FasTrack strikes.... Now, if they expand all 3 services to 8PM(I know, pipe dream), I'll be a very happy person. Rick44 Posted April 4, 2015 Share #13 Posted April 4, 2015 The only local bus change (NYCT/MTAB) is making the Q103's weekend service officially permanent.

PBJ6 Posted April 26, 2015 Share #17 Posted April 26, 2015 Bx5 now runs later 7 days a week 1:10am weekdays, 12:50am weekends It is about time. Too many people depend on that bus for Story ave for it to stop at 12:20. And the walk they have to take from Hunts point over that bridge is less then safe.
