[HD] EXCLUSIVE: BMT Standard Museum Car Move to 207th Street!

For the first time since the very early 1980s, the BMT Standards may run again. These three cars are being brought up to 207th Street yard by the R9 cars from Coney Island Yard for restoration. Note that some of these cars have working interior lighting!

Are they gonna run them this summer?

Lets hope! The cars seem to require cosmetic work, but mechanically may be somewhat okay. I've been told that the air was trainlined when they brought them up to 207, so at the very least the brakes and pneumatics on the BMT Standards work.

 

If you listen closely, you can hear the D3F compressor of the last BMT Standard chugging away.

Great to see these operate. An ancestor of Boston's 1911-1928 built Cambridge subway cars for the Red Line is back.
