IAlam Posted July 4, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2015 sorry for not going to the appropriate threads but I need this info quick which lines use design line coaches and bi level trains and do they meet each other if they do where?
engineerboy6561 Posted July 5, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2015 Howell Garage is the only depot that has the Designlines; you'll find them on the 63, 64, 67, 68, 128, 130-133, 135-139, 307, 308, or 321. That said, the Designlines were apparently suffering from fairly serious manufacturing defects (and the last mention of their status on here was in February); there's a very good chance that they're either out of service pending repairs or have been mothballed permanently. The multilevel coaches run on most of NJ Transit's rail lines, especially during rush hour; more than that I don't know.
trainfan22 Posted July 5, 2015 Share #3 Posted July 5, 2015 Raritian Valley Line is 100 percent Muiti Level and runs to NYP... Every other NJT routes uses other trains in addition to Muiti Levels. The Hoboken - Spring Valley line never seems to use from what I understand.

trainfan22 Posted July 6, 2015 Share #6 Posted July 6, 2015 i thought rvl only runs into nyc on weekends and outside of rush hours? It goes into NYP during the midday on weekdays only... If OP only has free time when the route is shorten to Newark he can always hop on a PATH train to Newark and catch the RVL line there.
