Hound Posted November 10, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 10, 2015 Why do most drivers on the S41 keep displaying "East Northport" sign on n/b trips when it should be Northport V.A. Hospital. Remember the S41 was taken over by EBT at the start of this year IIRC, so the driver maynot have remembered the codes. Or the drivers just find it easier to use one code. I mean back in the 90's, drivers on the S60 use to use the S60 Coram sign instead of the S60 Gordon Heights sign. I don't think I've heard something like that happen before. My guess would be since I believe Suffolk announcment System is odometer based that someone screwed up the distances for the signs. Maybe that explains why I heard that some of Suffolk's Orion VII's assigned to EBT have a new Announcment system. I take it you use to work for EBT. Use to ride their operade routes alot in my childhood also My Grandfather use to work for Coram Bus Service, not exactly sure when he started but he was fired in 1986, and since CBS Lines was like a successor to them I have that up as a memory to him. The company had pay issuses and like I said, he was fired because the company lied and claimed he had been drinking on the job. Grandpa ended up dying of cancer one month after I was born in 1989.
