GojiMet86 Posted October 29, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 29, 2016 Something you don't see everyday. Two MP15AC locomotives hauling four M7A cars on the approach to the Hell Gate bridge. Happens on Thursdays, but I've seen the time vary from a quarter to 10 to almost 12. This is being done to install PTC on the M7A. Plus ACS-64 #662 being hauled after becoming disabled earlier in the day.
Cait Sith Posted October 29, 2016 Share #2 Posted October 29, 2016 That could very much explain the 2-4 car sets of MNRR cars I see at the LIRR shop.
Tom Meadow Posted October 31, 2016 Share #3 Posted October 31, 2016 I found some articles online about mnrr trains being fixed at lirr shops. One reason the m7 might be bombardier has a office I think in Jamaica or the arch street shops.couple more years we will be seeing more mnrr trains when going into pennstation.
