P3F Posted March 8, 2017 Share #51 Posted March 8, 2017 I didn't see it for the first PM bus. Doesn't say on the ad but I assume the bus runs on 5th for the way down.Hmm... Maybe it switches to Broadway at 23rd Street? Where were you waiting?
GojiMet86 Posted March 8, 2017 Share #52 Posted March 8, 2017 I waited at the advertised first stop, 6th Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets.
Via Garibaldi 8 Posted March 8, 2017 Share #53 Posted March 8, 2017 I waited at the advertised first stop, 6th Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets. Are there actual bus stops? This seems like some sort of secret service.
GojiMet86 Posted March 8, 2017 Share #54 Posted March 8, 2017 I assume it shares stops with existing services, because the 57th Street stop is an existing M5/M7 stop. IMG_6153 by GojiMet86, on Flickr

P3F Posted March 8, 2017 Share #56 Posted March 8, 2017 According to the newspaper ad, the southbound 35th Street and 30th Street stops are at the X27 stops on 5th Avenue.
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted March 8, 2017 Share #57 Posted March 8, 2017 He should have a website and/or a facebook page in order to keep in touch with potential riders. There's probably people who don't read that newspaper who live in that area (who might read other papers).
P3F Posted March 8, 2017 Share #58 Posted March 8, 2017 I waited at 5th Avenue and 30th Street between 5:15 and 5:48 pm, and the bus did not come. I then walked up 5th Avenue to 58th Street, and then over to 6th Avenue. The bus was absolutely nowhere to be found. While I don't mind the little bit of exercise, the complete absence of his bus is quite concerning.

Mtatransit Posted March 8, 2017 Share #60 Posted March 8, 2017 Maybe that's why the schedule is so tight, he didn't need to pick up anyone!!

QM1to6Ave Posted March 9, 2017 Share #62 Posted March 9, 2017 It's very possible no one signed up so he didn't do the runs. You guys should email him if you want to see the bus in action. I suspect it's gonna be very hit and miss otherwise until he gets his name out there (or he gives up on the whole idea)
46Dover Posted March 9, 2017 Share #63 Posted March 9, 2017 These travel times are simply unrealistic. How is he going to go from Barclay Street to Exchange Pl in two minutes??? Please... Over promising and under delivering.... SBS style prioritization (red light changing capability) *sarcasm*

You have people waiting for an "express bus" that will never come. Waste of time and money...

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted March 9, 2017 Share #66 Posted March 9, 2017 I agree. It wouldn't be the first or last small business to have a rocky start. Regardless of the size of the business, communication is important, and with technology being what it is these days, you can set yourself apart by implementing it accordingly. He's doing himself a huge disservice advertising such a thing and not following through.
