Well the MTA didn't take over triboro or any of the companies, only their routes and operations. The MTA actually leases most of the depots from the original companies. So I'm not surprised that they are bringing back the Triboro operations bit bit looks as If it will be a charter service

Eastchester is being leased to MTA Bus for 20 years by the former head of NYBS. They can outright buy the property in 2025.

 

Yonkers is owned by NYC and leased to MTA Bus.

 

Spring Creek was purchased by MTA Bus in 2009. The DOT was the previous owner.

 

Baisley Park, Far Rockaway, JFK, and Laguardia are all owned by GJT Reit Inc. and is leased to MTA Bus. The new annex building at Far Rockaway is owned by the MTA.

 

College Point is owned by the DOT and is leased to MTA Bus.
