Excited these are being activated! Also excited the (C) is next up since that's my line. But I agree they're putting the displays in odd places. The Clinton-Washington (G) station's displays are all the way at one end of the platform, blocked by stairways from most of the places where people wait. It's also pretty hilarious that the new display is about 10' away from the old display that they put up years ago but was never used and is still covered in plastic wrap.

This station ("A25") might be 42st-PABT on the 8ave, since "A24" is 59st-Columbus Circle, and the arrival times make sense.

Some F train stations do work. But you have to play guessing game to figure out which station it is.Going to check G train soon.

The station codes like G08 and A25 are the station names in the MTA GTFS feed.  Goto https://transitfeeds.com/p/mta/79and "download", look at stops.txt file. The station codes are described in that file.

Played around with the GTFS codes as bulk88 recommended. For now, I just looked at F, G, M and the SAS (designated Q)

Basically, if you know the GTFS codes (which BTW must have been written in the late 80's... (G) to Jamaica Center? (B) via West End to 21 St? (D) via Brighton?  (F) via 53rd? (R) to Astoria? ) and that station has wifi beacons, you can pull up times...
 
Also give it 15-20 seconds. Some stations gave me the no data message at first, then gave me the times.

I've had it on in my office with my desktop and even then it won't work.  On my cell it's the same thing and I have pretty new phone and Verizon offers pretty good coverage.  It seems like if it becomes even slightly busy it goes down.

I use it often and have never had an issue.

One thing I noticed about this new system is that is seems to detect rerouts easier.2 days ago I saw rerouted (A) in Brooklyn local due to gap in (C) and today I saw rerouted (N) on 4th Ave due to gap in (R) service.

I just checked the (R) train at Canal St and it's only showing the (N), so the express platforms probably have a different code? This could be why West 4th isn't working yet. Both levels may have different station codes or suffixed variations.

 

Yeah, the express platforms are under Q. Nothing there yet.

I used the (7) a little while ago from Times Square, and what a wait.  Kept looking around to see if countdown clocks were anywhere, then checked Subway Time to see the (7) wasn't listed.  <_< Must've waited a good ten minutes.  Would've thought more trains would be running at that time.

Hey guys~ I used the links you guys provided here and start creating an unofficial subway time site for unreleased lines. I tried with (N) first and here is the result: http://nycsubwaytime.byethost12.com/n.html

 

The problem is that the official subway time site (http://apps.mta.info/traintime3/) is down today. So none of the stations works now, not even the stations shared with (R) that suppose to work....  :mellow:
