  1. Past hour
  2. It was already terminating at 57th Street, so the eventual extension to East Side - 96th Street ended up being seamless. The reason why the train wasn't chosen was because of some understandable want for familiarity with Astoria Service being all the N.
  3. Today
  4. Also from the Southern Division, 19136 looks to be back at Newton Avenue. It is currently on the 409. It spent about a year down the 42 Freeway at Turnersville ( Washington Twp).
  5. 18001 is in Wayne. Coach #9051 is still operable as I've saw it a day or two ago
  6. I wouldn’t. It’s a great job. There are lots of people I know that live in the city when they first started.
  7. Just got discouraged after hearing horror stories, lol someone even directly recommended buying a car for the commute but I can't afford it right now. Dunno how I'm supposed to make it to Stamford or wherever from the Bronx at 2am lol.
  8. I never received the letter in the mail with my test date… should i be concerned? I got the email a month ago
  9. NJT needs to retire the low 5200's ASAP. Saw few on 154 today and they looked like they are beat to hell and held together by a duct tape
  10. Yesterday
  11. @BenTheMiner what was the last time 6216+18 were spotted?
  12. I imagine it came down to ridership data (eg Sea Beach riders are more likely to go to Astoria and Brighton riders to Uptown Manhattan) but also the was always less popular than the south of 57th St, meaning it would be easier to split it into the and without inconveniencing as many riders.
  13. Also to add on to the other person comment. In school car if you don't understand something or have any questions ask your TSS they are there to help. At first it will be a little overwhelming because everything is new but you will get it. Good luck 👍🏿
  14. 4278 got rotated back with LGA, it’s out on the Q18. As for 4119 it’s on the Q25 and 4601 is on the Q65.
  15. 4119, 4278, 4601 College Point went to LaGuardia for a couple of days in service and 4119, 4601 has since returned. No info on 4278 however
  16. I know at certain times that a move that a user can post is false, heck, I know I'm part of this in the past. But, when you get told in previous posts that a certain bus isn't retired or so, I think they'll know by now what not to do. If a bus is said as retired but next day later it's back on the road, I can consider that 100% as false. Sometimes, a certain unit is said as a mistake, it's a reminder, think and look carefully next time you post because you get only 1 hour to edit. Buses retired ended up at Zerega, like @MysteriousBtrain said between ECH scrap, it's no problem, just a similarity that it's not mistaken as a out of service unit in passenger service (unless it's subject to change like 4378 and 4582). I can understand false moves being brought up but, for instance, if it's daily and happening a lot, I can see that as a very big problem and headaches to the first page update. But, even though it's brought up not to post anything false, it's worse when users bring your name up for a report history like "he posts or repeats garbage all the time". Tbh, some repeats are mentioned so, that it's understandable that when a certain unit is said as retired, it's at ECH scrap as removal from passenger service. This doesn't make you better than others but is worse criticism if your telling him that you posting mistakes is a complete waste that shouldn't belong here. Everyone should have respect towards others (even if you don't like others on the outside). If you have something bad to say, keep it to yourself. I put this out because in reality, if that person felt upset about a bad reputation, you can have this feeling for others on what they went through and how to do better in the future.
  17. No idea. The accident was this morning so just wait a bit for someone with the actual info to come forward with it.
  18. They are essential to the operations there as they only have 34 Novas there, so service would be extremely screwed if the 12 Orions were to go at once with no replacements.
  19. You have to wear a light blue buttoned shirt and dark blue khakis-like kind of pants. If you’ve seen the kind of shirts and pants conductors wear then you get the idea. I’d recommend KAKA bag because you’ll be carrying a lot of books. As for school car simply be on time, pay attention in class and don’t use your phone. Take notes on what the TSS’s are saying. They’ll tell you the key things to study so make sure you pay attention to those things. Also the 2 main thing to know as a conductor are the platform and conductor’s indication board. Know which side of the platform to open the doors and the conductor’s indication board(board with white and black stripes) is what tells you all doors are inside the station.
