Close, but no cigar. The uses R143’s as spares and those sets being used are having CBTC Synchronization issues so instead of leaving them idle at Rockaway Parkway yard, they send those sets to East New York for service. Now that the doesn’t go to 96-2av anymore, R160’s have freed up for service and frequent inspections. The R179’s are still under warranty and Jamaica Yard/Fresh pond yard doesn’t have parts or tools necessary to inspect, and repair the cars.

I made a quick blog post that summarizes my thoughts (some of which have been revised after discussion on this thread) http://checkmatechamp1.blogspot.com/2020/05/thoughts-about-queens-bus-redesign.html @B35 via Church Taking a second look, I agree with you about running down Francis Lewis Blvd vs. Utopia (in the area between Francis Lewis/Utopia & Northern/Utopia), since Francis Lewis is significantly more commercial than Utopia in that area)

Is Jones Beach still a thing, or nah? Short of that bus coming close to carrying air, you're only going to get so much space to yourself on a public bus anyway....

Point blank, no codes are "top secret", nor are they that hard to decipher. Eventually, they will come out in full(hence how TTMG had a code list)....Most people on here have a general idea of what the codes are and what numerical sequence is for what borough, local or express. Stop making it sound like they are top secret government codes or something. And stop tagging us in almost every single post you make.

Hey everyone, I started a fundraiser for MTA workers who have been affected by COVID-19. Many of us are dealing with losses and are even out of work with no pay. If you can take the time to share this and send some love, it would be greatly appreciated! It's a tough time for us, as well. Everyone stay safe out there!
