I've heard a few people have worked weekends with the 3 months in the yard. Depends on what the crew office needs. I'm sure they probably try to keep it weekdays, but summer is ripe for vacations by the senior folk.

The July class was 50 T/O and 30 C/R, split into groups of 10 with 2 TSS's. We got a schedule covering all of training except the three months in the yard since the crew office schedules that. We will be officially released March 2, 2014. It's going ok so far. Since I have previous knowledge of the basics it's actually been very slow and kind of boring for me. But it's only been two weeks so far. Once we get into the stuff i've never done it'll pick up. Do the assigned reading, and if you have the time read some more. Don't do too much to confuse yourself, but keep up. Study signals everyday. I personally find it obnoxious when something (other than signals) has to be repeated a million times because one or two people didn't read or pay attention. Just focus. It's not like high school, you have to put effort into this. Getting sick from steel dust is from build up over time, not something immediate.

I believe so. I'll know for certain on Monday. We get our schedules then, and I can ask one of the B div T/O's to see theirs

They haven't ended the yard posting yet. The T/O classes that started this week are doing the 3 months in the yard in the middle of training. They are still evaluating the usefulness of this.

I'm 110x and was appointed to start in the July 29 class. It was very busy at 180 today, was there 7 hours. At least I wasn't out in the heat.

I guess that makes sense. Figured it should be an across the board thing since they test you for everything else. Full house@180 this morning!

@Postal yes the medical will be for T/O. T/O and C/R don't have to take the spirometry test. But I had to as a cleaner which I found odd. I was fully expecting to take it when I did the C/R medical and was confused when they said that's not included. Didn't press the issue, lol.

#110x medical scheduled for Monday! Wonder if it is for the July class...

CRA 2 heads to Mosholu yard tomorrow to prep a 142 for service and road simulation! Finally going to be on the move

It's supposed to be valid 90 days yet they had me go back yesterday morning, which is less than 60 days. Found it strange since there is the July 29 class (found that out straight from the head of schoolcar a few weeks ago). With 1061 being last appointed I was thinking I'd get the July class instead of later, #110x. Redoing the drug test makes it seem like an August or later sort of deal. Currently in C/R schoolcar, so i'm ready for whenever

I'm in C/R schoolcar, so I need to know what's going on since is have to miss or be late for class. It's just too soon to have to re take the drug test, it's been barely two months. This process is getting more tedious with each title I go to :-/

I feel the same but I need to know what's going on, so I can let my schoolcar instructors know. If they didn't want so many calls they should make less mistakes.

It's very strange to get another drug test letter so soon, was just there in May, now have to go back 7/3. We're going to be jamming up their phones on Monday! Trying not to miss any days of schoolcar until the medical.

The next class is July 29, the class size and division breakdown is still unknown. I'll check in a few weeks to find out more.

Congrats! I'd like to get the A div when called. The June class would be great. Hoping they start calling for medicals soon. Debating whether or not to go for the C/R medical if T/O is so close...

They are magical. Every T/O and C/R I've recommended them to, that got them say the same thing. You notice the difference after the first day. Those inserts make for a whole new shoe.

Regardless of the type you get I HIGHLY recommend getting the custom Dr Scholls inserts. Find a store that has the machine (like Walgreens, Walmart, CVS). Invest in your feet, it will be the best money spent. And if for some crazy reason they don't work, save the package and receipt, Dr Scholls will refund you.

So I just called about not receiving my letter when others on here got them. Apparently I was scheduled to come in TODAY for preemployment. So I'll have to go tomorrow morning after work, list #110x. So frustrating, plus it looks like I won't be going to C/R first.

What the mofo hell? I haven't gotten anything and my number is lower then a few people that posted. My frustrations between this and the conductors list are really adding up. Couple all this with being stuck in the bowels of 168st station/dungeon all weekend, argh!!

I was thinking the same thing. How'd it jump from 800s to over 1200 so fast. Conductor should be around this range as I drug tested back in Feb C/R range 98x, with starting salary less than $30
