  5. Hope you all enjoy this picture. It's a very rare image. This is a train being tested and inspected over the inspection pit between Cremazie, and Sauve stations on Line 2 - Orange. The far left track leads to Youville Garage and Major repairs shop. The train you see here is 2 elements (6 cars: 4 motor, 2 trailer) Bombardier MR-73, designed in 73 manufactured from 1976-1980 in la Pocatiere, Quebec.

Don't know if it was mentioned yet but China lacks safety.. so while they have the fastest trains hundreds of people die every time one of their trains crash, and every time their is a power outage they're stuck in the hot trains for hours with limited amounts of food. In Montreal the last death was in the 70's when a Metro conductor entered the terminal to fast and his accelerator got stuck, he was stuck in his cabin and burned to death. Meanwhile in China...
  7. Montreal just got rid of all the garbage bins on the Subway platforms and instead moved them near the entrances and turnstiles. Boost recycling and increase safety. Garbage has been known to fly around and jam métro doors or wind up on the tracks. “Safety is our primary reason for doing this,” Rouette said, adding that wall-mounted trash bins on platforms have been the sites of deliberately set fires.   9. The Montreal Metro turned 45 years old yesterday! The MR63 trains are 45 years old and reliability levels (Mean Distance Between Failures/MDBF ratings) are more than double that of typical North American subway cars by North American standards. For the last 3 years in a row, the Montreal Metro has been awarded the most efficient Subway in the world. Here's to the upcoming year!

  14. Here is a view of University of Montreal: Laval, and Montmorency Terminal. That's a 2011 NovaBus LFS with ISL9 280hp and Urea after-treatment system.
  15. I rode that same exact bus a few days earlier on the 91C from Woodbine to Bartley (I checked out Epitome studio's) :/
