The covid situation isn't gonna last the duration of the lifetime of the bus.

1218 was repainted. The ones that came from the M15 SBS didn't get a paint job (yet)

So with all this talk of social distancing, I recently got on a B7 to Midwood and every row had a person sitting in it blocking the other seat and I was forced to stand until someone got up. Shit like this makes me wish I had a car.

So this question popped up out of the blue in my head, but what is the reasoning behind MTA ordering CNGs with the ZF transmission? Are the fuel prices for CNG more expensive nowawadays or what ? (considering every diesel has been Allison since 2017)

He probably isn't speaking for most of the operators, but the 70-74xx XD40s aren't exactly the greatest buses for take-off. The 75-78xx are much better.

The local fleet. The SBS fleet is a upgrade.

The SBS scheme is gonna (possibly) be phased out so now buses aren't coming in the light blue scheme.

The Luminators left a sour taste in transits mouth in terms of reliability (see some of the 70xx-73xx with sign glitches )

Maybe they're repainting other fleets (4800, OG, C40s) and don't think they need them yet -
Much of none of the drivers in Brooklyn seem to bother (B46, B68, and B35 the drivers could care less)
