  1. I got one question: They asked me to go in on November 17th, on the form on the MTA's website it says you don't need a drivers license (I don't have one) but on the form they sent me it says that a drivers is needed. Do I need a drivers license to become a LIRR train operator?
  2. It might be a bigger issue then that. I've heard that noise even in the summer months. It's been happening for a few years.
  3. I say yes to that and add that there's a good amount of graffiti on the windows of M7's (the Long Island Railroad on not MNR) and the C3 double decker cars. They should replace the plastic more often. The maintenance of the M7's is going down also. A lot of M7's I've seen have flat wheels, so when they pass by all you hear are the wheels thudding against the rails. There's that and the fact that the train that I was on going to Babylon had a bad skweeking problem in the gangway area.
  4. XDE-40's New Flyers that the MTA wants to get. Saw it in a report that they put out, that they wanna get about 270 of them. I like the ones that are running out of GA, saw one yesterday on the B62, #9406.
  5. They're putting the blue, yellow, and sky blue scheme on the Orion VII NG's?
  6. Doing something with B46 is the best option. You could use the middle track that is used to store trains as part of the line if you extend the but It would be too much money for that so it's not the best thing to do. Putting 60 foot buses on the Select Bus Service and the local is something that should be done. The MTA should have the B46 SBS go to the Williamsburg Bridge bus terminal.
  7. No one says anything about the M15 getting new stuff . Oh and to the guy that made the emojii's of bus routes you left out Q, M, and S routes.
  8. That's a really bad idea. The only way for the 4 to get to local tracks and the 2 to get to the express is via a series of crossovers just west of Atlantic ave. Your essentially creating a second bottleneck on a line that already struggles with delays as is. Having the 4 crossover to the local tracks would delay the 3 train or the 2 train. Having 2 train go express would delay the 4 or 5 train and same problem would be encountered when you get to the Nostrand interlocking just east of Franklin.
  9. No, no, no, if he did that there would be a subway line going though every street and every avenue in Manhattan!
  10. It's fine, happens to everyone. I wouldn't say that the whole map is really bad, it just does not match up with the needs of the people. The planner of the map took out the merging point east of Franklin between the 2/5, which makes sense from an operational point of view, because local trains aren't held at the station while the express trains cross the interlocking and head under Nostrand ave. However, from a political point of view Nostrand Ave riders want express service into Manhattan. Also, I see what the creator was trying to do with the J by sending it up to Metro.;he wanted to give the train to Canarsire priority by not making it hold at the station because a train is in front of it crossing the Myrtle interlocking. Again that idea makes sense because you at least eliminate one aspect of the problem at Myrtle. This routing, between Marcy and Myrtle, is idea that I've actually thinking about for quite a while now. Instead of the J run express between Marcy and Myrtle have the M run express. It at least eliminates one of the bottlenecks on J during the PM rush, but enough foaming. In all I think this is one of the better fantasy maps that I have seen because at least it try to solve some of the problems in the system. It does not solve all of the problems and some of the ideas aren't great, but at least it's a start.
  11. It's like you didn't even read a word I said. I was going by the fantasy map not the existing map. That's why I talking about the A and E trains in the map and not the E,M,R trains that currently run. Again,ACTUALLY read what I said and then respond back to me.
  12. Actually if the service pattern was running that they laid out in the map, the G terminating at Queens plaza would not effect service at all. Trains aren't coming out of the 11st street cut meaning that there are no local trains to delay. Relaying wouldn't be an issue either, if you single tracked the G into Queens plaza and connected to peak direction trains. For example: during the AM rush the G terminates at the Manhattan bound plat to connect the A/E trains and during the PM rush it platforms at the Eastern Queens bound plat.
  13. Let's just hope that game isn't as cheesey as GTA 4 and it's expansion packs. One thing I hope Rockstar does is increase the amout of players that can be in free-roam- because SA as you know is huge.
  14. Merry Rabbit Day to all!

  15. 70 miles per hour- that's my top speed when I'm running. Yeh I'm a cheetah.
  16. Do they still have the old New York City Bus Service seats? Haven't been on one of those in a while.
  17. Yeh the thing it will probably never achievie that adandoned status, because of the shoddy work that condractors did at south ferry LL. In fact the TA keeps that station in pretty good condition so it can be put back in service if anything happens at the new south ferry.
  18. I stole it, got it parked in a lot right near my house.
  19. Saw a couple having sex on the train the other night. I wanted to join in. Would of been a good three way. Should of asked.
  20. The empty wheel-barrow makes the most noise...

      What are you asking?

    3. B35 via Church

      B35 via Church

I guess he's asking who are you referring to in-particular....

Anyway, agreed with the saying.... I personally like Tzu's one more, as it's more direct:

"He who knows, does not speak.

He who speaks, does not know."

  21. Can a bus feel love? Can it think about the day ahead while sitting on the crapper? Can it have sex? Some people may think otherwise with that last one, but a bus is not a man, and as such it shouldn't be compared to him.
