  1. how can you terminate at rector in order to go back uptown without using the loop?
  2. here one. Due to government issue , no trains is allow to use any loops as turn around. How would you resolve the south ferry area and city hall. since the normal south ferry close you still need to handle this situation now. But the catch is you have to be careful how many tph is going to be delayed other normal tph.
  3. to amend my statement. When the first fasttrak they only did one week. i guess at that time it was little shabby they can do much on one week. Now with some fastrack today, it either long stretch between the two temporary terminals or when they was surveyed the area, it look bad on the their eye but it can be fix in less time then they thought. it better to try to do two weeks rather then one. Maybe their target is maintain all in once in two weeks, then thereafter the fastrack can be reduced to one week. This is IMO
  4. they might be thinking it either to long or when they surveyed it , it look like bad shape
  5. just wanted to share with you folks. I was at NWK yesterday waiting for my friend, so i was watching the depaturevision on the screen. There was Acela to Boston which was running 50 minutes late. We all know they alway assign to track 2 but with this train it was assigned to Track A on last minute. Now that rare. I bet nobody heard of this before.
  6. it seem to many error in these planning when we all know where all the switch track. Some of them don't make sense but theta the MTA.
  7. was it necessary to make the D run on the Q when it could switch at either dekalb ave or before the split to the bridge?
  8. during the ea beach rehab, if a stalled train is on manhattan bound track, what you think the dispatcher resolve this issue? keep in mind the only spare track is used for coney island bound train during th efirst half of project. What your thought?
  9. you guys keep forgetting the number one rule in small print disclaimer "Subject to change without notice". That mean later on there could be more or less Fastrack and the section they are suppose to work on can be change to different location. Please understand that. if you don't ask your folk to help you.
  10. here another head scratching Service Change Posted: 12/29/2014 8:32PM Due to signal problems at Bay 50 St, the following service changes are in effect: Some southbound trains terminate at Bay Pkwy or Bay 50 St. and trains are running with delays in both directions. Allow additional travel time. two separate line that don't come close together. Why is the N is affected???? WTF????
  11. i bet you will be scratching your head with this service change Service Change Posted: 12/28/2014 12:35PM Due to a rail condition at 25 Av (BKLYN), northbound trains are local from 36 St (BKLYN) to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and northbound trains are local from 59 St (BKLYN) to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr. Allow additional travel time. due you suppose they meant 25 street on the express track?
  12. Service Change Posted: 12/27/2014 4:13AM Due to track maintenance at Euclid Av, southound trains are terminating at Euclid Av That sure will leave a big gap.
  13. mta dude one question about yourself how old are you? This is how we all found out go to mta.info then click on subway then click on service announcement then click on canlendar for monday after new years then click on the then submit then read that page.
  14. did anyone see the fastback schedule yet? was i right?
  15. possibly because it sound like the was thrown off their own track and go share the track.
  16. tansitkid you don't know that because it could be a detour as well for one direction. 833 on newman spring road and it possible to detour to front street. between half mile road and middletown lincroft road. also red bank is main terminal starting point for either 832 or 833. if it was deadheading it would been going to neptune, nj
  17. if the LIRR can replace their el , the subway can.
  18. Today 12-11 i saw a transdev NjTransit NABI bus off course. I was walking along Front Street between Red Bank and Middletown This was app.1145 am. On the back of the bus it show either 832 or 833. I hope that driver didn't cross the bridge near the NJCL trestle track. Also i noticed the flasher light was on too. That was strange.
  19. Service Change Posted: 12/07/2014 11:55AM Due to a police investigation of a customer injury at Canal St, the following service changes are in effect: There is no southbound N , Q or R train service between Dekalb Av and Canal St. N , Q and R trains are running with delays in both directions. Southbound R trains are running on the F line from 36 St (QNS) to W 4 St-Washington Sq. Southbound R trains are running on the D line from W 4 St Washington Sq to DeKalb Av. Allow additional travel time. To me this dont make sense. why closed both Canal st platform when there is upper level for tunnel and lower level for bridge. Did the person get hurt where the merger of these two level?
  20. i wouldn't worry about it. that train is not saving time from previous schedule train
  21. nope. they did the and fastback before. Read this: Our next FASTRACK closure occurs December 27 and 28 on the lines in Brooklyn. Did you forget this disclaimer? While not expected, dates are subject to change. During each service change, additional details will be posted at affected stations and here at mta.info
  22. Go to the accomplishment on the win mta.info and scroll down to the bottom and you will see it there. it said and for Dec 27 and 28. Beside it the weekend.
  23. the next fastback is dec 26 and 27 in brooklyn. i assume coney island area.
