  1. Seeing the same thing on the Busbus app. Aint that something
  2. They'd have to build a CNG station there, and they'd have to be getting a lot of fed money for that cause if it wasn't for them there wouldn't even be new CNGs coming. The original plan was to retire the CNGs with more diesels until the feds gave funding to keep going with CNG.
  3. For the winter pick. It's gonna open with much less buses than it will eventually have
  4. Not trying to farebeat or encourage it, but I noticed the emergency exit doors on the NB platform at Howard Beach lead out into the JFK Long Term lot (where shuttle buses would usually load up). Are those doors unlocked even when there's no shuttle, and can someone theoretically walk through them to the long term lot AirTrain entrance to avoid paying the extra $5? Or does the door notify the station agent/Port Authority Police? I'm sure it has a regular beeper alarm but the PA Customer Service people or PAPD (if they're there) upstairs in the station probably wouldn't hear it.
  5. I thought Fairview was the only TWU depot in the state, the rest are ATU and either way they're allowed ro help out on each other's routes. Look at the 128, Fairview has Howell and Meadowlands helping out every day. It's MTA Bus where things aren't so nice between ATU and TWU.
  6. They have the cell towers up at Woodhaven and other stops. Don't know why they're not on yet.
  7. That's why the X17 was shit today and I ended up taking the ferry instead... Literally sat at the stop 15 minutes, the next bus was stuck in the 40s and once it was obvious it wasn't moving and there was no bus coming in front of it that wasn't on Bustime I walked to the ferry.
  8. It was a mess after Sandy, before not so bad, today pretty bad (not like it was after Sandy but still). I rode the home tonight and it was pretty slow go all the way down Broadway.
  9. Manhattan. Spent my time in dirty jers for the week already lol
  10. We got AT&T Sprint and Verizon here too and the lines are just fine.
  11. SMH people just go to the Grand Central one or somewhere else, that one is just as much of an "experience" as 5th and the line's much less of a sh*tshow. I haven't been there in years, hell I haven't been to any Apple Store in the city besides Grand Central for a long time. If there's not a new release going on I'll go to the Grand Central one, usually isn't that bad on a regular day, otherwise I usually go to the Staten Island one personally. Sure it's an extra $6 out of my pocket for the X17 but the ride is just fine and when you get there it's nothing like the city stores. I usually do the online order with store pickup when I want the new iPhone when they start offering it a few weeks after the release, even then I usually do SI since it's just so much less of a mess than the ones here. I ain't one to say anything's better in the suburbs, but the Apple stores are... I walked past quite a few phone company stores today too and the lines were nothing, hell if I wanted to I could probably walk into Sprint and walk out with a 6 right now. Really don't get the fanboys wasting their time on 5th.
  12. The fiber box is in her basement and they just hooked it up to the coax so they wouldn't have to wire Ethernet to the modem upstairs. It's fine, definitely no problem with the inside wiring and it's still damnn fast.
  13. That's the same situation in my building. Majority of the building has FiOS now and I don't have any issues with TWC as far as speed and whatnot go. We never did even before FiOS was wired, but with the recent speed upgrades TWC's never been better here. Meanwhile where my mom lives (NJ) it's a development of 90+ homes with only about 3 (hers included) on FiOS, the rest Optimum. Optimum was sh*t there, slow and went out all the time and no matter how many times the guy would come out to swap out the modem or whatever it would still be the same sh*t. They said it was the wiring in the house and not their end, but FiOS works fine over the same wiring so I'm leaning towards their network being overloaded with all the idiots there who stick by them even with the bills constantly going up and sh*t service that they see and complain about but pretend there's no other option. The customer service was sh*t too and were complete a**holes especially when we called to cancel and went in to bring back the boxes, they kept bringing up offers even after we said the decision was final and to just cut the service. I'm just happy they've never sent back door to door sales (hear horror stories about their harassment) after we told the guy to get out and not come back or sent anything in the mail for a while.
  14. Screw Optimum. I'm fine keeping TWC here over FiOS but if I was in Optimum country I'd get FiOS in a heartbeat. Awful company, awful service, don't understand why everyone in Optimum country chooses them over FiOS while everyone in TWC country gets FiOS.
  15. I think it will, but it's sure gonna be a good test run for that new equipment. Before Sandy when they ran that GO it was usually pretty smooth. After and before the big closure when they ran it, forget it. Took me an hour one night to get from Atlantic to Cortlandt.
  16. The larger more powerful CAT engine probably makes for a quieter tranny, but I can remember still hearing it nicely over the CAT.
  17. National Liquidators on Northern in Woodside has good stuff. Pretty sure they have other locations too.
  18. They did change up the template quite a bit, but it is the IP.Board software. Funny how the old TTMG Forums used IP.Board but no one was saying anything there or here about how both used IP.B. In fact you could say NYCTF "stole" from them since they were first to use IP.B. Course NYCTF had to find a new forum software after the Vbulletin hacks, but by that logic since they picked IP.B they "stole" from TTMG.
  19. I have a 5S, I'm definitely looking forward to the Apple Pay and it's one of the big reasons I'm gonna upgrade. I'm hoping they will allow other NFC apps so eventually maybe even the replacement for the MetroCard could be loaded onto the phone in addition to a smart card. Not to mention game tickets and so on, which I know already work with the NFC on Android. I'm not gonna be a hyprocrite and get the Plus, I never liked the big screens like the Galaxys have and won't now just because Apple has a phone with one. 4.7" will do it for me, hell the screen on my 5S now is fine. But I can't speak for the rest of the Apple "fanboys".
