  1. It doesn't matter if it uses a different routing, redundancy is redundancy... There are already four routes going to Stillwell, and the B64 is somewhat redundant to the B82 in of itself, but that's another discussion.
  2. Exactly, this is why I chose to split the route rather than a through route. The B23 was an aging route that had low ridership for a few reasons, and routing was one, but independently Cortelyou and 16th are good ridership generators. Together... not so much. Industrial workers and residents in Canarsie, current riders of the B8 who want a more direct connection to Kensington and other points west, and former riders of the B23, as well as East New York residents.
  3. Too long. Splitting the B23 between the B67/69 and the B84 works well because it makes neither route too long. I don't find it weird... it connects to the , , and B35 at that intersection, and it fills a huge gap in service in Canarsie along Foster Avenue. It's still better than the current B84. I wouldn't plan it as a very frequent route by any means, and it has a few ridership generators at Gateway Mall and the Canarsie Market.
  4. I'm sure these kinds of things have been proposed time over, but I've modified an old proposal of mine. http://goo.gl/maps/jGkDB This will modify the coming B84 route to run to Kensington. It would replace the Cortelyou Rd section of the B23, with the B67 and B69 replacing the other half. In East New York, it would supplement the B6 and B20 and connect these neighborhoods to the Canarsie Market and Brooklyn Terminal Market. (This is why it makes the odd turn @ Avenue D & Remsen). It would also help the B8 along Avenue D and provide east-west coverage along Foster Avenue.
  5. Use CFF Explorer and that should help. http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/topic/17276-discussions-help-thread-cff-explorer/
  6. The event will begin in ETA 10 minutes. Anyone who's on the fence is welcomed to join now, it's going to be great! The prerequisites about routes you should have still apply. We hope to see more people here!
  7. Some pretty old requests are getting filled, nice. Here are my requests: 34 CHELSTON HOSPITAL and... 34 INDUSTRIAL WARDS FURNACE DISTRICT 34 via Hospital Blvd
  8. He hates the damn things. That's why I'm teasing him for dissing the RTS...
  9. I mentioned this before, and not even because of the routes length but because of ridership as well... the Q103 is starving for some sort of decent ridership and an extension like that could possibly help strengthen the route.
  10. I'm counting down the time when they send Prevosts to Yonkers Depot...
  11. Don't get too hasty, they've been running for quite some time, they still got some kick left in them.
  12. Hey guys, we're planning a multiplayer run on Teamspeak tonight, most likely starting between 8 PM and 8:30 PM. We'll be starting with an IRT run first and then a B-Division run. Please have the , , , , , and lines available and some NYCTA trains if you plan to participate. These routes/trains can be downloaded from BVEStation or OpenBVEConnection, and OpenBVE itself can be downloaded here: LINK Teamspeak can be downloaded here, and here is the server address: t316.darkstarllc.com:10396 Hope to see many people there.
  13. You may want to check out the trains on OpenBVEConnection as well: http://www.openbveconnect.com/ And for those still wanting to join our Teamspeak NYCTA simulation, the address has changed. t316.darkstarllc.com:10396
  14. You do realize the B13 is already long and has nothing in hell to do with the Q67... wtf would you accomplish by combining them? Also, speak English.
  15. So it's confirmed. I'm keeping my Wii U for Smash Bros, and I'm getting a PS4... Xbox One has already lost in my book.

I really don't know what to get at this point, but I'm leaning towards the PS4. Not liking the One's Kinect requirement and the fact that you have to download the games (with a nonremovable HDD). Glad they dropped that DRM shit though.

I have the PS3 and the x360, requirements don't bother me. I will have to pick up a Wii U though.

  16. Artics have already started running on the MTA Bus Routes...this will be interesting.
  17. I decided I'd copy/paste the description of this one rather than just have you guys click... "In 1939, the City of New York purchased a share of the former Bay Ridge Branch of the Long Island Railroad. Between 1940 and 1945, the city worked to convert the section purchased between Fresh Pond Road and the 60th Street Yard to subway standards and connected it to the unbuild Winfield Spur. In 1947, service began between Roosevelt Avenue and East New York under the designation "X". Until 1988, the "X" used specially branded consists of R10's, and later R42's. The line was assigned R68's in 1988, where they have remained since. These assigned cars feature special strip-map cards of the line. Plans for CBTC conversion are being made." Here's the (X) line: http://goo.gl/maps/QEdlW
  18. I know many of you who read this thread probably play OpenBVE (duh) but have you ever wanted to do a realistic run with others? Using the voice program known as Teamspeak, we do runs using the NYCTA routes on BVEStation and OpenBVEConnection. We do runs later at night, but we try to simulate the runs as accuratley as possible. Join the server for fun and good conversation! Download Teamspeak, and follow the following instructions: Go to "Connect", and enter the following adress: ts10.bargainvoice.com:7118 On mobile devices: Adress: ts10.bargainvoice.com Port: 7118
  19. Why would they eliminate both lines this weekend... it's going to be hell on 6th and 8th Avenues for tomorrow...
  20. Give them them hell, make sure they lose their damn jobs, or at least get extensively retrained.
  21. Go here: http://odakyufan.zxq.net/openbve/index.html And follow the instructions on the quick install guide. Then try the instructions on these two sites to get answers on how to install routes: http://www.bvestation.com/newtobve.php https://sites.google.com/site/openbvesim/installUse
