      Railfans get harassed all the time by NYPD and the TA because of this negative opinion on us. This idiot has made it worse, why should we all have to put up with this when we mean no harm?

      You know I was never the type to go with the crowd. I'm gonna partial here. You make a lot of sense in your statement, BUT when someone acts up in this hobby, it doesn't take much for everyone else to think "Hey this kid is a railfan and he surfs trains, maybe they all do." This is a flawed ideology, but it is prominent in society. Just like how many people think blacks commit all crime, or hispanics are illegal. These overgeneralizations are wrong and hurt everyone in the gro...

      ttc: I agree. Taking it seriously and having fun with it is great indeed, but doing something stupid over a bus or train or making yourself look bad is just terrible..

       

      Q23 : Again, a lot of us consider this hobby as our lives for multiple reasons, they enjoy it, the equipment, the people, everything (a lot with the equipment). Its fine if someone gets excited seeing something they like, if it means that much to them

      People have preferences and stuff towards certain things in our system, yeah some people go too far but what can you do? A lot of people (including me) considers this hobby our lives. But there IS a fine line between a preference and an obsession.

    Had me a nice day off from school. Rode the Flushing, White Plains Road, Dyre Avenue, and New Lots lines and rode the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 routes. I will continue getting many riders as possible. But for now of course, back to boring ol' school...

      Marijuana is safer than alcohol. There is no direct way to die involving marijuana, but there are indirectly. But for alcohol, there are ways to die directly or indirectly. Two different drugs with two different effects on perception and the body.

      Austin is right, weed IS safer for you than alcohol. The thing is, if it was legalized, I'm sure it would be taxed a lot by the gov't, but people would stil buy it, it could help the economy, who knows? And weed is a hallucinogen and meth is a stimulant, two different types of psychoactive drugs with two different effects.

    Certain people here really cannot grasp through a true meaning of a transit system. If "old" trains bother you so much, take the express bus or drive a limo than bitching over a subway car that is still suitable for service. It seems you cannot reason if anyone these days on forums, especially the 'R62A returning to the IRT East Side" thread...
