  1. Dang! I have to wait until Sept to feel all of this joy going around the forum.
  2. @brownHornet..... How are the div's picked? Randomly or list #?
  3. I went down for processing on Wednesday but couldn't proceed because of a pending case. At the moment it's a misdemeanor but it will be dropped to a violation and a ACD. Has anyone in this form had a similar situation and what was the outcome?
  4. I go to 180 on Wed and I'm treating this just like an interview . I plan on being there earlier than expected. If they want casual business attire, then that's what I'll give 'em. I am a firm believer that perspective employers watch you from the moment you walk in until you walk out . I don't believe in luck, but I do wish everyone the best on their journey to 180 Livingston
  5. @NYTECH2000...... Thank you for the gr8 info.
  6. Question.... Starting salary is $30.037/hr. What % is that of top pay ?
  7. Drug test and yes FERS. Definitely right about it being a no brainer.
  8. Received my letter today for 180 Livingston St. Feb 12 list # 240x). Didn't expect to be called until May @ the earliest. Nice to know the list is moving along. My delima is do I give up 20 years of the Post Office for an obviously better job.
  9. Can we use recording devices during school car as far as more taking is concerned ? I never was at taking notes. Always did things off of memory and @ age 44, that no longer works. LOL.
  10. I'd figure the 2000's would start being called late winter/early spring.
  11. Just how true is the shortage of TO's and how long does anyone think this list will last?
  12. wake me up in 2015 when the list is actually established, lol!
  13. I am on the train operator list also but I'd rather not work with the public.
  14. this is from my track work a friend. " When you first start you will move in seniority pretty quickly. Cause people don't always stay in track they go to other departments or they quit cause they can't hack it. But when you get some time under your belt you won't move up as fast"
  15. I took the train operators test in April of 2009. I have a friend who's a track worker so I'll ask him if he's moving up in seniority.
  16. I went down for the same thing yesterday. all that process was is to verify that with eligible for the five or ten points. we still have to wait like everyone else to be called so honestly don't read too much into it.
  17. that's an excellent statement COSMO! being that I got 3 wrong I'd say it's a bad thing. Lol
  18. my preference is to work in the evenings but hey at this point I'll work whatever and wherever they send me. just fed up with my current job.
  19. a good friend of mine works down there and he said is one of the best jobs in transit. is only problem is that he's scared of heights. LOL!
  20. the walk in so I have to submit my request via mail. I got 3 wrong but thankfully I have veterans preference
  21. and to take that one step further if you and another person receive the same score it goes by who filed their application first. veterans get either five or ten point add it on to the final score.
  22. my opinion I think there's a very good chance you'll get called. once again I'm just basing my "opinion" on how easy the test was in on how many people probably aced it
