  1. Can anyone advise if this list is still active? I'm still on it after declining appointment. Thanks
  2. Any rumors on date for next class around the end of August? Also, how many times does DCAS allow you to decline the position? Thanks all
  3. I'm at 180 right now waiting to be called. First time here. List number in the first 150. Turned the job down 4 times already. Seems today is just the drug test and then come back with the new package another day. Lot of people here but for all different titles
  4. Hello all. I'm on the list in the 100's range, and I turned the job down several times in the beginning. I'm wondering if I reconsider and want to try the job out, can I have my name re-instated be going over to DCAS? thanks for any replies Tom
  5. Step one complete. Now for step two. I don't remember them giving a time frame for the next step. Also, if they don't finish checking your background until you come back with all the papers filled out, it seems like it could take a while to get appointed.
  6. N6: I might show up for the medical because I called there & they said I should show up Tuesday & then decline afterwards if I don't want the job. The lady said I can still have my name reinstated on the list at DCAS. Hope this is correct info, because I feel it's not. Going to try to call DCAS tomorrow. I also assume that by declining, you go to the bottom of the list if you put your name back on? Anyone know about this?
  7. I'm bailing out for now. I'm declining and will put my name back on list later on. 130's list #. Good luck to all.
  8. Tuesday morning for me also. 130's list #. Anyone know what top pay is and how long to get to it? I see the current starting rate is $30.03
  9. What is the current hourly rate for new hires? I remember at the time of the test, the ad said $28.
  10. I got all of that. The only thing missing is about vacation & sick leave the first yr. Back around '09, I tried Collection Agent, & I believe you start off with zero of both? As far as your description of the job, yes, it sounds like a lot to get thru the first few years. It all depends on the person & their needs & desires. It's a great starting salary compared to many other jobs out there today, so that's a motivating factor to try your best. In my case, I'm 47, already retired from one job & collecting a pension. I currently have two part time jobs that are boring me to death. So, I'm looking for something interesting that I can learn something. How bored am I going to be in the extras spots and later in the better picks? Thanks for all your advice. I might bail. I'm in the 130's on the list.
  11. Can someone give an idea of how bad the extra life will be, ex: what kind of tours and will it involve multiple reporting locations in a week? How long will it take to get steady hours? Also, I worked as a Collection Agent a few yrs ago & besides starting as an extra there too, there we're no vacation days allotted in the first yr at all, and no sick days I believe. If u need off, you have to take a day without pay?
  12. Frefre: what list # are you. (Approx if you don't want to say). I'm in the 100-150 range
