  1. My list number is in the 35 xx and I haven't gotten a letter yet either.
  2. They are going to send you a letter in the mail that says: You were considered but not selected for the b/o position under N.Y. civil service personnel rule 4.7.1 My situation was exactly the same as yours' and that's what they did to me. They won't say that it's based on your criminal records and convictions (buy it is! That's why the lady told you they will review your dispositions and not your shoe size) because it's against the EQUAL OPPORTUNITY LAWS to discriminate against anyone for past criminal convictions. Less the crimes committed directly relates to the job you are applying to perform. They are not going to say that your convictions are reason you will not be selected. Less there are other determinations for not selecting you. YOUR CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS IS THE REASON WHY YOU WILL NOT BE SELECTED! This rule is used to disqualify candidates while protecting the agency from the WRONGFUL and ILLEGAL discrimination practices they commit. Some things need to be changed concerning the 1 in 3 rule (which is what civil service personnel uses to disqualify candidates for appointed and promotional positions) in accordance to the civil service hiring policy. Above all! With regards to civil service jobs You would believe un-lawful discrimination practices SHOULD NOT take place! You would think that civil service jobs would be the closest to protect and abide by the EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENT REGULATIONS and LAWS. IT'S A BIG PROBLEM AND CONCERN WHEN THE CIVIL SERVICE ADMINISTRATION PARTICIPATES IN DISCRIMINATION.

  4. Absolutely nothing to study or review. Just stay consistant with your answers. You must be taking a makeup cause the set date for the exam past already.
  5. I've never been shown forgiveness. Rejection is all I know. Prayer or no prayer. He hears me NOT!I've been going through a life of rejection way before I knew what handcuffs were. I might as well go live in some poor country off the land.
  6. Nothing yet, but if they don't give me the green light something dirty is going on. I did a lot of researching. None of my convictions are disqualifying except the possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. That conviction was 16 years ago which technically clears the statute of time.
  7. It doesn't seem like anyone on this list is getting called. Is there any sign of life with 2301?
  8. It rarely happens but there is such a situation when a "False Positive" results. Just saying. Least likely but possible. I've seen it happen. Normally I would not mention this but I've literally seen it happen once.
  9. What is the 2301 for again??? A plumbers position? It's been so long I forgot...lol Oh I remember now! It's an audition for "Sex and the City"
  10. If you quite that long ago there is no way it could still be in your system. Something is not right. I know marijuana lingers the longest but not that long. If it is true that you really stopped everything when you say you did are you hanging around other people who are still smoking? Cause there is a slight chance second hand smoke could get into your system.
  11. I don't think this part of the investigation would have anything to do with the 19A background because the 19A comes later and most important requires fingerprinting. Any investigations or reviews at this point is most likely internal and through the company which we consented when we all signed the background information release form. Then you got to factor two or more other things. I.e. TA has many reviews to do not just one individual. Also they probably will collect and do a batch at a time. Lets also remember that they move on their time not ours.
  12. Congrats to all who are getting calls for the next step. I'm happy for you.
  13. Thank you ogrecnfd so much for this link. It provides a bit of hopefully valuable information. According to the matters stated on the subjects related to myself I SHOULD NOT be barred or disqualified from this position of bus operator. If I am disqualified it would obviously be based on and considered discrimination against my criminal history. Like I said before...I have one low marijuana felony possession conviction which is which is 16 years old and anything else is misdemeanor. Should EEO laws combined with the Certificates of Relief I submitted to Human Resources are considered then I may have a bit of hope. If I should get this job I'm going to understand very well that God is showing me to not take my blessings for granted. Here we all are fighting and praying for this job to come through. There will be a few who get it as well as others who already have it and you hear STILL complaints and cries about how they don't like the job, can't wait to retire, etc., etc. That's taking granted of a blessing without having gratitude. If God is showing me I should have some gratitude I certainly WILL should I get this opportunity.
  14. Thanks nycpips and Rts4life. And thanks to all supporting me.
