  1. last night q12 had an artic on it
  2. yeah its a official it is going artic, also they were getting rid of the Q26.
  3. Looks like the Q12 out of Casey Stengal will go Artic was talking to a bus operator and they will be getting new non SBS artics said it will start in the Fall pick.
  4. How is Casey Stengel Depot closing and Jamaica Depot construction going to work? I was under the impression that Jamaica depot would be closing during construction.
  5. I have been on the Q44sbs with standing loads at 1am & 2 am when I get off work after a long day only to stand on my way home from Parkchester to Flushing. I believe they run every 15 to 20 minutes at that hour and even the buses heading in the opposite direction also have a standing load its a very heavy line.
  6. I have been to Canada "Quebec" and they run their articulated buses durning snowstorms with no problems. Maybe the buses are awd?
  7. This was how the Q44 sbs was during the NorEaster sitting in the Bronx with about 20 other buses behind because they banned trucks and buses from the Whitestone and Throgs neck Bridge. Complete standstill for 3 hours.
  8. Why dosent the MTA start making the Q12 or Q13 do limited stops from flushing to Bell BLVD and also have a Q13 & Q12 make all local stops.
  9. In Cali they ride the bus asking for tickets, where here they board and hold the bus for 5-7 minutes inspecting everybody ticket.
  10. What happened with the Flushing - Columbus Circle SBS proposal via Northern BLVD?
  11. They should make Main St. just for buses, taxis and deliveries. Look at Fulton St. in downtown Brooklyn. Police and traffic enforcement need to enforce the bus lanes along the Q44sbs in flushing. Q65 should avoid Kissena blvd and Main St all together, keep the Q65 on Bowne st, turns onto Roosevelt ave stops behind the N20/21 continues on Roosevelt ave till College Pt Blvd makes a right then goes into College Point. Q34 should be extend to Francis Lewis Blvd via Willets Point Blvd instead of ending at 149st in Whitestone
  12. There was never bus service on 39th ave in the 1990s or 2000s. The termials all ended and began on Roosevelt.
  13. from wikipedia Never heard of Pononok until i saw it on the map. Even my dad never heard of it and we have lived in queens are entire lives.
  14. Can they make the Q12 OR Q13 limited on Northern Blvd? Maybe even bring back the X51 on sanford ave that bus was packed durning rush hour. Maybe extend it to Northern Blvd and Francis Lewis blvd or Bell blvd. We need more options then the 7 train flushing is a mess.
  15. I would like to see a limited bus service on northern Blvd q13 or q12. The q65 should be rerouted via Bowne st till Roosevelt ave make a left create a stand next to n20/21 on Roosevelt makes a right at college point Blvd. The q44sbs should be rerouted to its old route along 150th street and grand central parkway. Hillside ave between stupin Blvd and queens Blvd is a disaster when the bus lanes aren't in affect. Q20 would remain the same. Q31/76 going to Jamaica depot Q17 going to CS depot so they can run some artics on the q17 durning rush hour. Q27 extended to Belt pkwy. Q75 being returned and maybe extended to queens boro college. Glen oaks and bayside can use the bus service. It was always packed for rush hour going to Jamaica in the mornings. Got cut durning the last cut backs. Glad to see artics on the q111/113/114 dont need them on q110. The q25/65 could use artics So can the q17/27/46 Extend the q34 along willets point Blvd to Francis Lewis Blvd Add bus service along 73rd ave? Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  16. Keep the Q65 on Bowne till Roosevelt makes a left goes down Roosevelt maybe share a stand with Nice or the Q48 on Roosevelt then makes a right onto College Pt blvd to College Point.
  17. Flushing is a nightmare and its getting worse, they should do what they did in downtown Brooklyn and make Roosevelt ave Buses only from Prince St. to Union St. Cars turning from Main St. even though there are big signs that say no turns from Main St. People cross against the light and even stand in the street instead of standing on the sidewalk. There is no police enforcement. Hopefully when SBS gets off the ground there will be bus only lanes on Main St. for the Q44 or whatever bus they decide to make SBS.
  18. can't a limited run on Northern Blvd during rush hour? Q12 or the Q13. These buses are packed and make every stop from Little Neck and Bayside. Or at least a bus only lane for rush hour.
  19. http://www.qchron.com/editions/north/oakland-gardens-wants-q-back/article_c6c1a19b-eeb1-504d-b169-989110ef0f3a.html I say bring back the Q75 to Oakland Gardens and Bayside and extending it to Queensborough CC, from 165st Terminal but via Midland Parkway. This line was always packed during rush hours and during the day it died down but I think if it connects to the college it would be packed or maybe even to Northern BLVD to connect with the Q12. https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=zjTK5cBbyb78.kKqFAET9YBtg
  20. If you work in midtown, eastside, LIC then this would be great. Everything is built already and everything is there its just rebuilding the tracks and divert the M or R subway line east of 63rd Drive (via an already built connection) to the northern section of the Rockaway line. The reactivated line, connected to the existing Queens Blvd subway local tracks at 63rd Drive would help increase the capacity of that over crowded line by 7 to 8 trains an hour. It would enable the "G" line, currently cut back to its inconvenient terminal at Court Sq, to once again continue onto the Queens Blvd line and on into central Queens. The reactivated LIRR line, once linked in to the existing AirTrain line at Howard Beach, would provide a speedy, one seat ride between JFK & Midtown, a vast improvement of the current indirect, two seat ride requiring a change of trains at Jamaica. The reactivated line, with new transfer stations connecting to the existing "A" & "J" lines, would provide much improved cross or intra-borough connectivity.
  21. How about building and extending the F train to Springfield Blvd? Rebuild the abandoned Long Island Rail Road Rockaway Beach Branch from Rego Park to Ozone Park and advert the M or R subway line east of 63rd Drive (via an already built connection) to the northern section of the Rockaway line. The subway would converge with the A train north of the Aqueduct Station and continue into the Rockaways.
