  1. 5450, 5452-5453, 5461, 5465 equipped with bike racks. Updated Hale list: 5444-5448, 5450-5453, 5458, 5460-5461, 5463, 5465-5467. Someone mentioned that 5454 had bike racks, but that was incorrect.
  2. 3098-3101 were moved to Pitkin. It was paired with a 32×× set I saw on the .
  3. The wear and tear buses in the city go through is a hell of a lot worse than in other cities. Constant stop and go, uneven quality of the roads, maintenance levels, etc. While the doesn’t fully follow the retire buses at 12 years old like in other agencies, some are retired sooner to salvage parts to keep the other units alive. It gets more expensive to maintain buses that have parts that are no longer manufactured in high volumes than to simply buy a new one.
  4. It’s usually edits made after posting erroneous moves. There’s no way to delete the post yourself, hence why [delete] posts are shown.
  5. Actually, It was already in service at Quill for a few days now. That’s just the usual loan Tuskegee gets on a daily basis.
  6. So are they actually assigned there or were they only sent to CMF?
  7. The driver should have stopped to check just in case, though he’s not wrong about people using the 1 more than the 2. Still doesn’t excuse him skipping the stop outright.
  8. Being required to have a card made no sense as you only got them once you entered the vaccination centers. That could of been a case of a driver going into buisiness for themselves or legitimatley getting bad intel and enforcing said intel.
  9. Actually, the NTSB will be involved in the investigation as they had concerns about the string of accidents in the system as of late. They referred to the transit worker that was killed in November at Herald Square as another sticking point. https://abc7ny.com/14283053/
  10. Those southbound trains are interfering with Trains that are terminating at 96th as those are ending on the downtown local platform and go back up. Though not all trains are going to the west side yet and the is running sporadically to 96th (Some are still terminating at 137th) so it doesn’t seem to be an issue.
  11. They are diesels. Over 60 Novas were delivered to Baisley Park & JFK ever since the Fall.
  12. Trains originating from The Bronx are now running to 96th Street. The trains are terminating at the downtown platform. Uptown Trains are boarding at the same platform and are running express to 137th Street. At least some progress is being made.
  13. Trains have resumed service between 148th and 96th. train service is still the same, with free shuttle buses originating at the 110th St station. Shuttles buses go to City College or 149th St-Grand Concourse.
  14. Oddly specific considering all the diesel units are being sent back.
  15. Either that or some of the 7500s are being used as shuttle buses for alternative train service.
  16. Hale Novas 5447-5448 and 5460 now have bike racks. So far, Hale units 5444-5445, 5447-5448, 5451, 5454, 5458, 5460, 5466-5467 have bike racks.
  17. Maybe? Best case scenario, it's just the flooring that got bent and can be replaced easily. Worst case scenario, the frame is too damaged for a repair to be feasible. Either way, that 5-car set (2411-2415) is going to be out for quite a while.
  18. Per the MTA site, the service disruptions made after the derailment at 96th St will still be ongoing for the rest of the day: At least until the end of the day: No service between 137 St-City College and Times Sq-42 St. Take trains or buses. Emergency teams are conducting an investigation after a train derailed near ‌96 St‌. trains are running in two sections: Between 137 St and 242 St Extremely limited service between South Ferry and 42 St. Northbound trains are running express from Chambers St to Times Sq-42 St. For northbound service to/from local stops from Chambers St to 28 St, take M20 and M55 buses. For service between 137 St-City College and 215 St, consider M4, M5, Bx7, and M100 buses. For service between Marble Hill-225 St and Van Cortlandt Park-242 St, consider Bx3, Bx9, and Bx10 buses. Metro North is cross-honoring between Marble Hill-225 St and Grand Central-42 St. For additional service between: 168 St-Washington Hts and Chambers St, consider Trains. South Ferry and Times Sq-42 St, consider trains, and M20 and M55 buses. Posted: 01/04/2024 07:15 PM
  19. The word going around is that an uptown collided with a work train in front of it at 96th. https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/subway-derailment-manhattan-upper-west-side/5006930/
  20. Same with 4454. Only 4202 was kept at JFK. Side note, the Tuskegee loans from West Farms don’t always need to be reported. Barring a few exceptions, the West Farms loans only stick around for a day or two compared to the loans from Gun Hill and Kingsbridge.
  21. I personally have seen it in person various times even thought I don’t live in Brooklyn. I saw it do a few Manhattan shuttle bus runs in August and not too long ago on the Q54.
  22. Someone mentioned that it was scrapped in 2022, but it has been in regular service at Fresh Pond. It was never corrected in the scrap thread. You can easily find pics and clips of the bus online from last year.
