    I got the text of the date and time of the exam, still no email or admission letter yet though, should the text be good enough to take the exam?

    Did anyone who filled out the appeal form ever hear back? Exam is roughly a month away

    Also, I just read the appeal form, and they explain it way better, (again, they shouldve clarified from the start). The total percentage for EACH job must add up to 100% and nothing more. So just make sure for each job you keep it under or at 100%.

    Lol this whole thing is so bizzare to me. The fact that HUNDREDS of people have this same problem means they did a horrible job of explaining it. IMO this shouldn't even matter. We all dished out $50+ on an exam fee, and all have the experience, why make it such a process? Nonetheless I hope they sort this out, or they're going to have a very short class of station agents coming up

    Has anyone applied or got called for this position? Apparently there was a study guide supposed to be sent out but nothings been sent yet.

    All the NTT's are capable of speeds of 70+ mph, but the traction motors are electronically programmed to cut out at 55 mph. I've read somewhere that when the R142's first came in, they hit 78 mph in the rockaways.

    Damn its not looking good for a lot of us then, everyone in the high thousands. I guess the next best thing to do would be to wait until Station Agent opens up in November. And if you got called for C/R you're already one step ahead

    What? I literally ride Lexington everyday, and you don't even have to know it's one of the busiest corridors in the US. Also who said anything about cutting service? We need the extra trains. And yes they are old, by the time the R262's get here they will be almost 30-40 years old. They'll be due for replacement. I'm not suggesting the 262's replace the 142/A's, but whos to say they won't tag on some extra cars during the option order.

    I read about this a while ago, I think this project is dead in the water. Considering how cash strapped they are, i'd be shocked if they're going to bother setting aside funding to upgrade them or just wait until the R262's come in and phase them out altogether.

    Word on the street is there isnt going to be another T/O exam for a WHILE. And that C/R exam at the end of this year is promotional, so if you get called for cleaner thats a one way ticket in. And who knows if there will be another one. Plus once you're in, as many others have said there's a lot of opportunity for advancement.

    Might be a stupid question, but I applied for traffic checker some time ago, my list number was in the 10,000's. Is there any chance they'll take me in as cleaner sooner if I ask? Also if you applied for MNRR cleaner position, is it possible to take any promotional exams within NYCT? or are they separate entities?

    I second this, I think there were a few weekends where they did just this. And with current ridership levels due to COVID, you could definitely do away with the . You could send every other to 148, or reinstitute the shuttle bus

    I know exactly what you're talking about, as I've seen it dozens of times on departing trains going N/B. Hoping someone can share some insight as well.

    Idk, Usually when they send those PA-5's to get refurbished, they're almost always unwrapped. Maybe they're trying to keep the 211's from being unveiled for reasons.

    Just got a text, email, AND phone call that the test is cancelled indefinitely. They should be sending the exam fee refunds sometime between this week and next week.

    I doubt it, but if ridership does increase that's always subject to change. I was just on the yesterday during rush; and was still relatively empty.
