Njt gets the fine.
The lack of parts and Formans approving buses to go out that shouldn’t be on the road. The parts issue hasn’t really recovered since covid. It’s only going to get worse, but all the Nabis need a part that’s only built in Europe; right now they are at a 190 day time frame. If we’re to get replacements for the NABIs, (presumably New Flyer), would they have the same problem getting parts?

Experienced a 4.8 quake in New Jersey. Assumed vibration was from the buses in the depot as I was laying down on the couch in the game room, then started getting texts from friends

I just love the speculation. And you heard it form the source.
Six Flags was cut because Six Flags wanted njt to come in the car entrance. Now imagine the amount of traffic the buses have to sit in when they can just continue to go in the back and leave. We need our buses back out for other trips not sitting in an entrance with cars. Six Flags said no, and njt said ok bye. If it’s not broke don’t fix it.

Should be interesting to see how the 105 works since the piece of work I was on (193-AM, 101/105-PM) was scrubbed this upcoming pick

The turn radius around curves is the reason Why they keep them locked.
That why someone walking between them wont get hurt and the first thing the lawsuit will say is "Oh why did they leave them unlocked?"
Im immediately reminded of the train (with R46s) and the (with R68/68As) and those hellacious turns between Cortlandt St and Whitehall 😱.

Wasn't it announced that National Guard/State Police would be on the subways?

The #126 - #85 - #772 combination on weekends has grown to be one of my fave's...
I always thought it interesting that the 772 was the only local line from Community that has Sunday Service

I am hearing things about the Coach USA ecosystem that aren't good. I hope they can keep it together and restructure as needed.
They’ve been giving up quite a few buses lately. Your statement seems to reflect the current state of affairs

Seeing a whole lot of plain Jane Coach USA buses at the lot of 495. Was expecting to see maybe a few back to NJT but sheesh

They are facing a massive fiscal crisis, and they think that a fare hike will magically solve that issue, which is extremely laughable
It’s amazing they were able to keep the current fare structure on the bus side for as long as they have

It seems that NJT's fare system will be getting an upgrade starting Jan 13th, drivers will no longer handle electronic or printed tickets.

Some of the buses we got from Coach USA/Academy still don’t have scanners

Important Notice:
All rail service on the Northeast Corridor, RVL and NJCL is suspended due to Amtrak signal issues. Bay Head shuttles will continue to operate. Midtown Direct service is being diverted to Hoboken. NJ TRANSIT rail tickets/passes are being cross honored by PATH at Newark Penn, Hoboken and 33rd St-NY and NJ TRANSIT bus and private carriers. Customers should visit njtransit.com/ABC for available alternate service information.
rip
Operators at Wayne Garage were told to be on standby. Imagine doing bus work on the NE Corridor 😱

Also if you have a card with not enough funds it will accept the payment and hotlist your card; when used again you’ll see “card denied” and on our screen it says “card hotlist”.
I’m told that the “hotlist” term was not supposed to be used

In terms of my depots i already asked about howell can @46Dover tell me about wayne garage?
I could say it has the feel of an extension of Paterson, since most of the lines originated from the former Madison Ave Garage (the other part from Warwick, NY).

Looks like 21265 (ex-Suburban) was repainted into NJT colors but with a twist - it has a black back, but only the center panel. The rest of the rear is white. Looks like it may have been from a retired unit (19137 or 16003 comes to mind) since there's only one vent up by the amber lights when there's usually two.
Black back, white back, and now we have partial black back. Will we eventually see a black back with white center?

I rushed out of my bus to grab a shot of it in Wayne and one of the mechanics shot me a look 😆. I had to explain it to him and he looked like he had an epiphany of sorts

Wayne has 21287,21288,21304,21305

NJT rail ops is still running equipment from the 70s (GP40s and Arrows) that are not working properly with the PTC/ACSES systems
I always found the pairing of the GP40s with Comet Vs tacky. And as far as all this computer stuff with PTC and ACSES systems: It’s the same thing I say about using software updates (with the ticket scanners) and buses in the same sentence:
why?

Quick question....
Just found out (through an old actionkid video on yt) that a ticket on the #355 has the letters ADM on it (I refuse to ride that route out of general principle)... Are there any other tickets that displays letters (on the part of the ticket where the zone number is) ?
Also the 308 has GA for Six Flags.
Speaking of, I’ve had to take these tickets when I run the late 192 4 times because when people get the tickets, they input the gate number that it leaves from (308) thus spending more than they have to. Then they look at you with that stunned and bleeding look of a face which only a mother could love.
*to quote UrinatingTree*. Conglaturation

800 artics in 5 years? Hell, at that point, I think the question has less to do with which routes need artics & more to do with what routes they plan on throwing all these artics on (whether
currentservice levels & usage on whatever route{s} warrants them or not)....Given said sentiment, that's how I'm going to opine on/approach this.Quite honestly, I don't feel like going down a list of every single NNJ NJT route, so I'm just going to (lazily) use (some of) your list here as a (sort of) template & go on from there....
Another thing to consider is during the winter months where snow and ice get to a point where you can’t even use artics. For example, in such weather conditions, the 13 would go all NABI and keep the artics sidelined. NJT needs to be careful what they wish for because they might very well get it

HM for Harmon Meadow Park & Ride on the 320 (I’ve even allowed Secaucus folks to board with those tickets)
