  1. I'm not a fan of Boy George and Culture Club; however, I am fond of this particular song. Catchy song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD9eD7f2IG8 Was a big hit when it spread like wildfire on the radio stations in the early 1980s.
  2. Great song from Stephanie Mills. Released back in 1980. Still a great song over 30 years later.
  3. While on my way to the store, I heard this song on the radio station. I may be old school, but I enjoy this music. The Honey Cone. "Want Ads." I realized that it was 43 years ago today that this was first released. Time really flies! In 1971, I first heard this song on a portable radio while I was on my lunch break in Battery Park in lower Manhattan. Was a beautiful morning, too. Good times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1bNl-UtjgA
  4. "Groove me" by King Floyd. Great tune from 1970. Was a good year. I remember this song was quite popular at the time.
  5. I do not collect vintage signs that are associated with the city of New York's transit system too often; however, I came across this vintage decal that I believe saw service in a train car on Staten Island. Personally, I have always been fond of that classic "M," and, since this is from my hometown, I had to acquire it, since it caught my attention. Below, is a picture of what it looks like. Note that the decal is labeled as S.I.R.T.O.A., which stands for Staten Island Rapid Transit Operating Authority (now known as the Staten Island Railway). A really great decal and piece of New York City's transit system history.
