I never liked Gilligs since I was in Harrisburg 20 years ago, with the exception of the Phantoms that ran with Detroit Diesel engines. Them boxed size buses are not even that attractive. But since NICE does not wanna spend that money on “fancy” buses like the NFS and Novas, let them cry about having Gilligs. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I can tell you haven't ridden a Gillig made in the last 5 years. Their build quality has improved a lot and they're actually getting up there with Nova and New Flyer in terms of customers.

The BM2 does, most definitely. I've taken it home a few times on the overnight and it gets about half a bus full of people

They're only allowing 20% of the fleet to return to service at the moment, which is about 64 cars (8 sets). I'm pretty sure they're not gonna pull the 32s so fast.

Hello,
We’re writing as you have contacted us within the past year about our bus service and want to make sure you are aware of important information about early morning bus travel. You have hopefully heard that front-door boarding and fare collection resumes on all local and express buses starting Monday, August 31.
If you travel between 1-5 a.m. while the subway is closed for disinfecting, your journey may require you to transfer more than once between buses and/or the subway. If you do, you can travel on a single fare by following these steps between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. (or by using an unlimited ride MetroCard):
When you pay your fare with coins, a pay-per-ride MetroCard, or OMNY at the beginning of your trip, request an electronic paper transfer from the bus operator to use when you transfer.
When you make your transfer, you may request an additional electronic paper transfer if you will need to transfer again.
On SBS (Select Bus Service) routes, pay or use your transfer at the curbside machine to receive a paper receipt. Board through the front door, show the receipt to the bus operator, and request the paper transfer.
The paper transfer works only on local buses, and on Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens express buses between 1-5 a.m. Use the transfer on your MetroCard or OMNY to enter the Subway after 5 a.m. That transfer is valid for 2 hours from when you first used it - if your trip extends beyond that, tell the Station Agent at the booth before you swipe your MetroCard.
Also note that the $2.75 base fare will apply on Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens express buses between 1-5 a.m when the subway is closed.

Basically, all bus routes that run overnight between 1-5 AM are charging $2.75. That includes the 99s and the overnight express routes. The SIM1C will stay at $6.75.

Also, while you're at it, can you have them add a timepoint somewhere along Bruckner Blvd for the overnight BxM7, and at the Prospect Avenue
station for the overnight BM2? I think that would get rid of any confusion as to whether the buses stop there. (For the BM2, I assume/hope that there is a physical bus stop pole over there showing that overnight buses stop there. I wouldn't put it past them to forget something so basic)
I've been riding the BM2 overnight and it doesn't stop at Prospect on the (R). I even had one driver take local streets after the Battery Tunnel and got on the highway where the B103 does.

The new schedule design isn't bad, i guess. I like the predictive crowding feature tho, but it might be a little confusing to read the timetable as a whole

B3\B6: Bensonhurts Harway Avenue vs. B82 SBS: Bensonhurts Bay 38th Street
B36 Coney Island W 37th St vs B74 Sea Gate W 37th St (even though they never use it)
I also hate how they abbrivate Rockaway Parkway Station on the B6, B60, B17, B42, and B82 all differently. Consistency, dammit

I see someone has never ridden the B42.
As someone who rides the line daily, i can tell u right now that eliminating that line would be the most dumbest thing I've ever seen MTA do. That bus gets decent loads of people at all times of the day. It's honestly fine the way it is, i just wish the OTP was better overall.

The SBS scheme is officially dead. All new buses will come in the local scheme. The XE60s are the last buses to have the SBS scheme
