  1. Here's one because I'm bored out of my damm mind lol....

It's the weekend & due to unknown sources of giant cotton candy blocking the entire the 53rd Street line from Queens Plaza to 7th Ave-53rd Street all (E) trains are cut off. And the 59th street tube is OOS due to construction so (R) trains run from Forest Hills-71st Ave to Jamaica 179th Street & from Lex Ave 59th and onward Brooklyn bound. The (E) runs local via Queens Blvd to Queens Plaza & The (F) runs express to 36 street like usual. You cannot re-route the (E) 's down 63rd Street due to construction there too. Note: (F) train headways are decreased due to 63rd street construction. How would you re-route the (E)?

    (7) : Extra trains operate a short working between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza, terminating on the express track just east of Queensboro Plaza.

    (E) : No service west of 71 Continental Ave-Forest Hills. Train operates on local tracks. Service interlined* with  (G)

    (G) : Service extended to 71 Continental Ave-Forest Hills operating on the local tracks. Service interlined* with  (E)

    (R): No service in Queens.

Shuttle buses will operate between Lex. Ave-59th St ( (N)(R)), Queensboro Plaza ( (7)  (N)) and Queens Plaza ( (G))

*When I say that the  (E) and  (G) will be interlined, I am referring to the way that some bus routes are interlined. As a result, when a  (G) train reaches 71 Continental Ave-Forest Hills, it will change its destination sign to that for the  (E), and operate to Jamaica Center, and vice-versa, removing the threat posed by too much foam.

  2. The switch leading from the Canarsie line to the Westbound Broadway Local track at Broadway Junction is stuck in the reverse position (down the ramp). It's 2pm but due to an earlier failure the crew won't be on scene for a while and it will take "a few hours".

Additionally, a Railfan believed they saw an MUDC while at 14th/7thave causing a 'foam incident'. The frothy precipitate will close all tracks through the station for the night. Do what you have to do.

    For the first incident:

    (L) : Service running from Manhattan terminates at Myrtle Avenue using the pocket track. Two shuttles will single track the section between Broadway Junction and Myrtle Avenue (one train on the Manhattan-bound track, another on the Canarsie-bound track.) In order to facilitate quick turnarounds at Myrtle Avenue, since the platforms will be used by the  (L) trains from Manhattan, I would move the guards to the rearmost cars of the two shuttles. Theses two shuttle trains will also be supplemented by shuttle buses running from Myrtle Avenue to Broadway Junction. The section from Broadway Junction to Rockaway Parkway will be covered by the  (M)  until crews arrive to fix the problem, after which passengers will have to rely on shuttle buses only.

    (M) : In order to provide direct service to Canarsie, half of all  (M) trains will run along the BMT Jamaica line to Broadway Junction, and providing service between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway. When the crew arrives on the scene, the service will terminate at Broadway Junction on the centre track.

    (J)  (Z) : In order to provide additional capacity on the line in the absence of the  (L) , trains would operate express in the Eastbound direction between Marcy Avenue and Broadway Junction on the centre track, stopping only at Myrtle Avenue. When crews are on the scene, the trains will serve the normal eastbound platform instead until the problem is cleared.

    2nd incident:

    (1) : No service south of 34 St-Penn Station. Shuttle buses will be used to bridge the gap between Penn Station and Canal Street.

    (2) : Service split into two section: Service north of 34 St-Penn Station and: Service from Canal Street to Brooklyn College-Flatbush Avenue. Shuttle buses will be used to bridge the gap between Penn Station and Canal Street.

    (3) : No service south of 34 St-Penn Station. Shuttle buses will be used to bridge the gap between Penn Station and Canal Street.

    (4) : To replace  (3)  service in Brooklyn, all trains run local east of Franklin Avenue to New Lots Avenue.
