  1. Note: I am assuming that by Kings Highway you mean the Kings Highway (N) and (F) stations. ok? :)

    (B) Trains terminate at Kings Highway.

    (Q) Trains terminate at Prospect Park.

Shuttle buses between Kings Highway and Prospect, also Kings Highway and Brighton Beach.

    (D) Trains terminate at 62nd Street.

Shuttle buses between 62nd and Bay 50.

    (N) Trains terminate at 59th Street

    (R) Trains terminate at 59th Street

    Shuttle buses between 59th - 86.

    Shuttle buses between 59 - 95.

  2. NEXT:

A water main break on the west end of Central Park South between 7th and 8th Avenues has created a big problem for the Broadway, Broadway-7th Avenue and 8th Avenue lines in that area.  Service east of 7th Avenue at CPS is unaffected by this.

    (B) Two sections: Brighton Beach - 42nd Street, 125th Street - Bedford Park Blvd.

    (D) Two sections: CI - 42nd Street, 125th Street to 205th Street

    (A) Two sections: Rockaways - 42nd Street, 125th to Inwood

    (C) Two sections Euclid - 42nd Street via 8th Avenue express (in order to switch trains at 42nd), 125th Street to 168th Street.

    (1) South Ferry to Chambers Shuttle, 96th Street to 242nd Street.

    (2) via Lexington express.

    (3) New Lots to Times Square via 7th Avenue local, 96th Street to 148th Street.

    Shuttle buses serve as needed.

  3. If the BQE won't do for a Brooklyn to LGA route, here's my new proposal:

B80: Limited-stop service between LaGuardia Airport, Queens, and Downtown Brooklyn via Jay St, Tillary St, Park Av, Williamsburg St, Rodney St (northbound), Marcy Av (southbound), Meeker Av, Kingsland Av (northbound), Monitor St (southbound), Greenpoint Av, 39 St, Northern Blvd, 49 St (northbound), 48 St (southbound), Astoria Blvd, and 23 Av (northbound). Makes only the following stops:

    On Jay St:

    Fulton Mall

    Myrtle Promenade (A)(C)(F)(R)

    On Park Av:

    Vanderbilt Av

On Williamsburg St (northbound)/Classon Av (southbound):

    Flushing Av

On Rodney St (northbound)/Marcy Av (southbound):

    Broadway (J)(M)(Z)

    Metropolitan Av (G)(L)

    On Meeker Av:

    Lorimer St

    Graham Av

    Kingsland Av

On Kingsland Av (northbound)/Monitor St (southbound):

    Nassau Av

    On Greenpoint Av:

    Borden Av

    On 39 St:

    Queens Blvd (7)

    Steinway St/Northern Blvd

On 49 St (northbound) and 48 St (southbound):

    Broadway (M)(R)

    30 Av

    On Astoria Blvd:

    78 St

    82 St

    On 23 Av (northbound):

    87 St

    94 St

Then all stops in LaGuardia Airport

The B80 will operate from 6AM to midnight every 30 minutes.

    Not bad, not bad.

  4. (R) Manhattan trains go via Manhattan Bridge.

Some trains originate at Whitehall (Man-bound), Shuttle bus between Court and Atlantic.

(Man) (F) via 8th Avenue local from Jay to W4.

Shuttle buses from York - Jay, E-Bway - Bway Laffayette.

(Bk) (A)(C) terminate at Church Avenue.

Lots of nonstop shuttle service from Jay to Hoyt - Schemerhorn.

    (E) go via 63rd and 6th Avenue local from W4 to Jamaica Parsons/Archer

After 34th Street (A)(C) go via 6th Avenue express to Columbus, then their normal route.

  5. My proposal: (V) Orange

All (D) Stops from Bay Parkway - 9th Avenue (ALL TIMES except Late Night)

Runs via 4th Avenue local from 36th to Atlantic to provide direct connection to (G), and of course extra service :)

    Switches to the (N).

Runs from Canal to 57th Street via Broadway local, (N) reverts back to express service.

Then, (V) goes to 63rd Street - Lexington Ave to the (F).

    Runs via QBL to Continental.

    Late Nights service suspended.

Provides extra service on West End, Broadway, and Queens Boulevard.

    What do you think?

  6. Alright, I'm back with another proposal, but for the BMT Broadway Line.

    (W) Line Service Revival Plan

    Rush Hour Addition

Rush hour service to Kings Highway or Coney Island by the Montague Street Tunnel or Manhattan Bridge. Runs local on 4th Avenue, and runs via the Sea Beach  (N). By the Manhattan Bridge, I think it will stop at DeKalb Avenue, or run as an express with the  (D) and  (N).

All other times (including weekend service), the line will run its usual Astoria-Whitehall Street route before elimination in 2010 for recession reasons.

I hope this you guys would like this idea. :)

The (N) does not need extra service, no overcrowding (yet)

You should run the (W) down 4th Avenue local and to 95th Street with the (R), to provide much needed extra service.

  7. The MTA faces a HUGE budget gap. As a result, many workers are fired until the budget gap is closed, so that means less NTT's. Cut down service and choose a fleet for each line, and also change intervals to suit demand, while saving enough money to recover as quick as possible.

Based on how P3F sees it:

    (A) All trains terminate at Ozone Park.

    (C) Some trains go to Parsons/Archer via QBE. Increased Service.

    (E) Suspended.

    (S) - Rockaway shuttle extended to Euclid Avenue, shuttle service also serves Mott Avenue.

    (B) Suspended

    (D) via CPL.

    (F) Some trains go via Crosstown and terminate at Court Sq, all other trains via QBL. Increased Service.

    (M) Metro - Essex Shuttle.

    (N) via 4th Avenue local.

    (Q) terminates at 57th Street - 7th Avenue.

    (R) Suspended.

    (S) Shuttle between Bay Ridge and 36th Street.

    (G) Limited service (3 tph during rush hour) all trains to 71st Street - Continental. No (G) Service during middays, late nights, and weekends.

    (J) Makes all stops during rush hour.

    (Z) Suspended.

    (L) Unchanged.

    (1) Suspended.

    (2) Unchanged.

    (3) via Seventh Avenue local. Select trains terminate at South Ferry.

    (4) Select trains extended to New Lots Avenue because of decreased service to New Lots.

    (5) All trains terminate at Bowling Green. Service decreased.

    (6) Extended to Bklyn College.

    (7) Unchanged.

    <7> Suspended.

    A bit overkill but whatever.

  8. But where will the trains on the #8 line be maintained and stored? There's not much room left at the Jerome and Livonia Yards, and sending trains there back and forth would be too impractical. The N and R trains in Queens and the 2 and 3 trains in Brooklyn switched terminals so each route can have direct access to a subway yard.

Every other (6) could be an (8), they would be serviced at Westchester.

i have a feeling phase 2 will be started soon after

It will be, but it will go really slow, lets hope the MTA finds a gold mine under Manhattan.

  9. i know this may never happen for another 25 yrs but do you think the MTA can route the new 2nd ave line thru 3rd Ave in the Bronx to co op mall and end it along the s4th st already made station to utica ave line KP floyd bennet field and the other branch could possibly go to 4th ave with R

Not in our lifetime! They don't even have enough cash to finish Phase 2 of SAS!

  10. #8 train: Lexington Av Local, between Throgs Neck in the Bronx and Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan at all times except late nights. Late nights between Throgs Neck and 125 St only. Bronx portion of the #8 will run on Willis Av, Melrose Av, 163 St, Hunts Point Av, and Lafayette Av, branching off the #6 line at Willis Av after 3 Av-138 St and ending at East Tremont Av. Underground portion: between 3 Av-138 St and the Bronx River. Elevated portion: between the Bronx River and East Tremont Av. Oak Point Yard in the Bronx will be converted from a freight yard into a subway yard.

    Castle Hill Av

    Spring St

    Canal St

    Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall

You do realize Oak Point is a vital CSX yard, right? We can't ship all our garbage to Selkirk. Acquiring the yard from CSX, electrifying it, and making it approved by the FRA and New York State would be too costly, and would hurt the states economy, and never would be allowed.
  11. A fire alarm in the Fulton Street complex led to the station being evatuated and closed, so service changes have to be made.

    (2) service between 241st - Chambers, Nevins St. and Flatbush.

    (3) runs between 148th and 14th Street only.

    (4) between Woodlawn and Brooklyn Bridge, Nevins and New Lots Avenue via New Lots local.

    (5) runs between Wakefield/Nereid and Brooklyn Bridge only, use (2) in Brooklyn.

    (A) runs between Inwood and Chambers Street, Jay Street and the Rockaways/Ozone

    (C) suspended in Manhattan, runs between Jay Street and Euclid.

(J)/(Z) trains terminate at Chambers Street.

  12. If the casino really wanted to have direct subway service, they just fund the creation of a southbound Aqueduct Racetrack platform, or build an overpass from N-Conduit southbound to the casino parking lot, and have people walk to the enterance.

No need to spend god knows how much rebuilding an abandoned ROW when there are cheaper alternatives.

  13. Next:

Montauge Street (including the connection to the Nassau Street line) has reopened, but major problems around Myrtle Avenue in both directions have halted ALL service on The Manhattan Bridge.  Only the tunnel can be used to get to Manhattan.

In addition, the loop at South Ferry somehow got switched to where trains coming from the 7th Avenue line can ONLY go to the Lexington Avenue line going uptown and can not access 7th Avenue going back (the "new" SF station is still not available as it continues to be rebuilt from Sandy damage).

Also at the same time, the Rutgers Street tunnel has broken rails that forces it to be shut down (though York Street and East Broadway on each end of the tunnel can be used).

Wait, wait. The (2) and (3) don't go via the loop, so they are unaffected, only the (1)? If so,

    (B) Suspended.

    (D) runs in two sections, between Coney Island and Atlantic Avenue, and 34th Street and 205th.

    (F) runs via the Cranberry and terminates at Jay Street - Metrotech

    (M) runs via 6th Avenue via the Montague Street tunnel, and West End, terminating at Bay Parkway.

    (N) runs via Montague Street tunnel.

    (R) runs via Montague Street tunnel.

    (Q) runs in two sections Prospect Park and Coney Island, and Canal Street and Astoria.

    (1) terminates at Chambers Street

    (2) via Lexington Avenue

    (3) terminates at Wall Street

Shuttle buses serve all inserved stations.

  14. How about building and extending the F train to Springfield Blvd?

Rebuild the abandoned Long Island Rail Road Rockaway Beach Branch from Rego Park to Ozone Park and advert the M or R subway line east of 63rd Drive (via an already built connection) to the northern section of the Rockaway line. The subway would converge with the A train north of the Aqueduct Station and continue into the Rockaways.

The (F), (R) are long enough.

  15. Well since nobody replied for like 12 hours...

A medium level track fire spread has caused the entire Broadway Junction station to be evacuated and closed until the fire is extinguished. How would you reroute the (A)(C)(J)(Z)(L) ?

  16. Since no one has posted here for a few days:A water main break at Houston and Lafayette Streets has cause big-time problems as BOTH the Lexington Avenue AND 6th Avenue Lines are affected by this. The water main break caused structural problems in the area that will require a 6-8 week shutdown of both lines in the area.

Customers advised to use (N), (R) Prince Street, 8th Street just 3 blocks away.

    (4) via Second Avenue

    (5) Service suspended, use (2)

    (6) runs between 42nd Street and Pelham

Shuttle buses replace the (4)(5)(6) from Times Square to Bowling Green.

    (B) Service Suspended

    (D) runs between Coney Island and Atlantic Avenue, and 34th Street - 205th Street.

    (F) runs between W4-Jamaica.

    (M) runs as Essex-Myrtle shuttle only.

Shuttle buses between W4 and Grand Street stopping at W4, 23rd, 14th, Broadway Lafayette, Grand.

    (Q) via Broadway Local
