  1. Why not put some work into your proposals and draw your own track map? The post is unclear and incorrect.

And it's basically opening a can of words. There are several others threads related to this stating why this is too costly and not as important as other ongoing projects.

  2. There's still about a year or two for the MTA to figure out what they're going to do with the station closures as the stations you mentioned are listed in package 8. Besides, the Bx1 and Bx2 run along the Concourse line at those two stations.

But still, the Bx1LTD and Bx2 are adding to a person's daily commute. That's just my take on it

  3. The Concourse line is going to be hectic when two or its stations close. 174-175th Streets and 167th Street are stations that have a ton of commuter traffic, whether that be on the weekends, rush hour, or midday. That's more time removed from people's schedules because there's a long distance from every station on the line.

    For 174-175th Streets:

Going to Tremont Avenue with access to (D) express trains or going to 170th Street.

    For 167th Street:

Going to 170th Street or 161st Street-Yankee Stadium to either take the (4) to missed stops or transfer.

Shuttle buses won't help on bit, partly because on how much people live near the impacted stations. 174-175th Streets isn't near any actual crosstown buses (other than the Bx32) and as a result, these shuttle buses will have to be placed at Mount Eden Ave//Grand Concourse. That's just my take on it, but thankfully this is not happening anytime soon. Any opinions?

  4. There is a explosion in Jay Street-MetroTech and the (A), (C), (F), and (G) trains are affected. Service needs to be restored and it is during PM rush hour. What would you do? My way would do this:

    1. (G) service from Forest Hills-71 Avenue to Bedford-Nostrand Avenues.

    2. (A) trains run only from Utica Avenue to Lefferts Blvd or Far Rockaway.

    3. (C) service runs via the (A) from 207 Street to World Trade Center via (E) line.

    4. (F) runs from Avenue X to Jamacia- 179 Street via the (G).

  5. ok, imagine this:

The tunnels that carries the (4), (5), (6) in and out of the Bronx and Manhattan, broke and there needed to be service to be put back in service. What would you do to bring back service. I would make the (5) operate over the (2) line, the (4) in two directions from Woodlawn to 149 Street-Grand Concourse and Grand Central-42 Street to Atlantic Aveune, and the whole (6) line will run in a shuttle from Pelham Bay Park to 3 Ave-138 Street. Also there's no local service.
