I was thinking about that too. Yukon has 135 express buses Charleston has 150 and Castleston has like 70. I think most of Meredith routes would go to The Castle since they had the less amount of buses

Saw the SIM32 operated by a Castlston buses I think it was 2632 can’t remember the exact number but it was a 2600 series with Castleston decals

So it’s for safety reason’s why there T’s aren’t fully express if you really think about it. Open gateway between 59-125th a lot of things can happened and people are stuck if a dangerous situation were to happen

I know that the MTA main focus is making all the IND lines fully CBTC. But what about Jamaica Line ? I know that the line is a BMT line but aren't 100% NTT ? So shouldn't that line be worthy of discussion ?

Can someone explain the situation with JFK and Far Rockaway depot. Are they separated or the same. Or just JFK depot holds the local and Select Bus, buses and Far Rockaway depot hold the express bus ?

Isn't the based out of Pitkin , so shouldn't all of Pitkin crews be qualified to R179s no matter which line is it on ? 

How do you guys calculate headway for trains service? And an example could be use like how many trains per hour , spares , etc lol im kinda new here compared to all of you guys

Just saw 5 brand new R211 waiting to cross the Goethals Bridge. There fleets numbers are unknown , they're still wrapped

Also with how ENY keeps improving it's spare factor, The could go 100% 8 car R179s if they get all of the 8 car R179s cbtc equipped since the can use all of the available R160s 8377-8652,9943-9974 now at ENY. That's if they decide to keep it 8 car R179s just to get rid of the R46s off of 8th ave in time for CBTC. This would also allow the to use the R179s if they get CBTC kits installed. Then when Option I cars start coming in then they can transition the   to being 10 cars

 

Having 8 and 10 car R179s running on the at the same time would cause confusion, This is why they don't use the 10 car units on the and only the R46s.

Wasn't the goals was to give R211 to the and and they rotate between R179s and R211 since they both would be able to maintain in different barns ? And didn't they equip the R179s 10 Cars with CBTC ?

This is true and you also have to factor in the qualified crews to operate the the train. It can be the 2nd out of 207th but if a crew isn’t qualified it can be the 3rd or 4th train out
