  1. The remaining 224 R32 cars were originally from Jamaica.

The (C) was suppose to use R40/42s exclusively (which it did for a brief period in December 2008), but shortly afterward, those R40/42s were transferred to Jamaica, and Jamaica gave up its R32s for 207th.

And given Jamaicas history the trains they have , they run they down and with no point of return. Wonder how those R160 holding up

  2. I noticed they don't really use the brand new 188 sets that often, rode the (7) during PM rush today and only like 2 sets of the new 188s was running... I guess they don't want the Warranty to run out to fast.

Lol that too about the warrenty. And plus the converted sets out numbers the factory set so they'll use the converted sets more

  3. In order for Grand Avenue to get artics full time for the B38. It has to get the other branch from Fresh Pond.

Honestly, I don't think any of the Downtown-Ridgewood branches need artics.

East New York definitely needs artics.

I agree the 38 gets full but there head ways are crazy like every 5m in rush hours thou but don't see the need for Artics . ENY yes for the 15 & 82 but I'll doubt the 15 would get them just only because of the street the routes run on

  4. 8125 is in Staten Island..

As far as that rumor is concerned.. Let's really see what happens. So far NO buses have not moved from East New York to Jamaica.

    .

In IMO I don't think those Novas are leaving ENY. 1. Because they keep on getting more and more of those Novas 2. ENY just some 2 RTS to Ulmer Park 3. And why would the MTA wait until ENY Nova order is finish then send off to Jamaica.

  5. FB is the most for sure possibility because of they're high mileage on the routes they have. Ulmer Park I heard that they don't want anything to do with hybrids(heard don't know if it's true ) but they did have 3Gs though. ENY seems to love Hyrids and takes good care of them. Who knows we'll just have to wait and see

  6. Most R160s cannot run on the L. There will be no big swap involving the R143s leaving the L. Probably not until the R143 fleet is retired will we see any different cars assigned to the L.

The M requires cars with a conductor position at 4/4. R160s obviously work for this. R143s and R32s also work for this. R42s do not. R42s cannot run on the M without conductor boards added. Perhaps I am being presumptuous, but I don't think one has to go far out on a limb to say that C/R boards will not be added for R42 Ms.

But could they make the (M) stop at the 10 car marker like they did with the (C) train when they R40/M-R42 ?
