      ^^If I was to lie, wouldn't I say I won a larger amount of money.. like $5?

  2. A 2nd Av and Lexington Av Line should suffice for the East Side.
  3. For me, an R142A 6 Train is rare now.

@Joel Up Front Well for me it is because I prefer the R142 over the R62s.

  4. Yup, it's true. http://web.mta.info/nyct/service/125StElevatorClosure_Jan2016.htm Same thing for the Rockaway & Van Siclen stations on the . They are suppose to be done this month, but they look like they are nowhere near finish.
  5. I think that the via Lexington is more rare than the via 7th Av. This is the 4th time in 2 months I caught a 5 via the 2.
  6. I might be wrong, but I don't think it's required. People know that the is local and assume that its going to make all stops to Brooklyn Bridge.
  7. But some of the younger generation of kids contribute to the zoo like behavior on subways too.
  8. Eww there was throw up covered up with a newspaper on an R62 smfh!
  9. After 135th, everyone thought that the train was going to the Bronx. Once we got the 145th, we stopped there for about 3 minutes, waiting for the to leave 148th. The conductor told us that we got the wrong line up. Than we went to 148th, they let us off and told us to take the that was across the platform back downtown to 110th. I took it to 135th to catch the to the Bronx, since I got an unlimited metrocard. Yesterday around 2:30ish pm.
  10. I don't think so. The train was moving pretty slow after 135th.
  11. But in their defense (I don't really know if it's a defense), when I was waiting for that train. The countdown clock did say it was the to Harlem. Maybe they thought it was a .
  12. Today the dispatcher accidentally sent the up to Harlem-148th St instead of going to the Bronx.
  13. Something strange happened today. The 2 train was not even crowded during rush hours AND it was a fairly quick trip. I was 15 minutes early for class.

@TheNewYorkElevated: ... or, you know, anywhere that doesn't have such staggering ridership numbers.

  14. The first train towards 34th St will leave Flushing at 12:26pm and the first train out of 34th St will leave at 1:07pm.
  15. Going downtown, right before you enter 14th Street (south of 18th St) there is an interlocking. I don't know why we just didn't go local instead of waiting for the train to clear out at 14th Street. It took about 40 to 45 minutes to get from Grand Central to 14th Street on the yesterday. It was stop and go until we reach 23rd St where it just sat there for about 25 minutes.
  16. Does anybody know if the switch north of 14th Street works? Because if so, I really don't know why the wasn't switched to the local tracks instead of me being stuck on the express tracks for 45 minutes today.
  17. I agree with this so much. I am pretty sure that the gap fillers at Union Sq is the reason why the Lex line gets delayed during Rush hours.
  18. Have the go to Hanover Sq than plug it into the Montague.
  19. I think that's what he meant. The would run express along Fulton Street. While the runs local to Euclid Avenue. The would use the Rockaway Branch at all times, while the would terminate at Lefferts Blvd. I like that idea better, it would eliminate confusion on the train. But instead of using the museum, my proposal would be to use the Montague Tunnel, stop at Court St and build a smaller tunnel to connect Court St to the outer tracks at Hoyt St.
  20. Half hour wait for the Bx17 at 1pm? Seems about right...

      B35 via Church

Bx17's are STILL that way in the early afternoon hours... smh... I'm talking from the vantage point from at least 10 years ago....

  21. I understand the MTA doesn't have any money for that. If the passageway is advertised than it will attract people to connect the with Lex/59. The out-of-system transfer isn't heavily used because maybe people don't want to exit the subway system just to re-enter for a transfer or maybe people still need to transfer to a bus & the out-of-system transfer would eliminate that.
  22. The only one I can think of is the passageway idea, but like Q43 said the MTA is broke as hell. It's NYC, everyone is on the go and wants a faster trip. Nobody is going to stay on the or for 5 extra stops.
  23. They should have build the passageway back in 2001 when the was rerouted.
