  1. Can't believe it's been over two years since this set got delivered and started testing. It's about time it entered service!
  2. They really should've finished tiling the walls and installing the proper lights before opening. I hope those lights on the 72nd Street side are temporary because they don't match the rest of the station. Also, if anyone got one of the brochures, it incorrectly states that this station has USB ports. Anyways, here's a before and after video:
  3. 1931-1927-1904-1952-1940 was transferred to Westchester to replace 1921-1922-1925 which was used for the SAP seatless test and moved to Livonia for Shuttle service. Why they didn't choose 1923 instead of 1904 is beyond me. 1901-1903, 1905, 1906, 1908, 1910 and 1903 remain at Corona for now.
  4. Some footage of 3050-53 in the Rockaways from this weekend:
  5. More footage of simulated stop testing. Little train race around 4:15 in the video:
  6. That surprised me too. I would've thought it would've been made similar to the R160's sign.
  7. Sign seems to be in (mostly) working order now lol.
  8. Some of my shots, many shots are in DJ's video so most of it has probably already been seen, but if you want to see a race between a 160 and 179 it's at the end lol.
  9. R179s being transferred to 207 yesterday:
  10. Are you sure you don't mean 3058-3061? Unless they moved 3050-3053 to 207 for whatever reason...
  11. The equipment installed in the gangway between 8270 and 8271 is quite interesting. Video below:
  12. The movie trailer was more likely a test program than a program for the 179. Remember that there were a ton of testing computers installed on 3050, so a tech probably started playing some random footage to see what the playback on the FIND would look like. It also wasn't scaled properly. Then again, I could be wrong and we could very well see advertisements and trailers shown on the 179 FIND.
  13. R179 4-Car set testing today: (Uncut clip in the middle, skip to 8:46 after the train pulls in for the departure)
  14. It is highly unlikely Flushing CBTC goes online on Tuesday seeing how there are several trains of R188s with no adapter leading. The cars with no adapter also don't have the main computer components installed, they just have the computers which operate the doors and CBTC screen. (The most logical reason they spec'd them this way is probably because of the C car, which they are probably regretting with all the recent incidents). In addition the R62As that are on the 7 now makes the probability of CBTC going online Tuesday very small. But who knows, maybe it will happen.
  15. Well it took awhile but it finally happened lol...
  16. The wrapped sets were staged at 86th Street today for the Open House:
  17. There we go lol. Posted in the right thread now.
  18. Set was heading back to Pitkin around 6:53 PM. They were probably waiting for the Rush Hour to end.
