  1. Doubt it(because they are the ), but is seems like a good idea maybe email them to give them the idea. Also, how would the track it's passengers? The fare box? Sometimes, people sneak through the back and the driver doesn't even know about them. This is most common during rush hrs.
  2. I have a feeling we will reach the 7300s being delivered to Corona by Christmas lol
  3. Never trust New Yorkers, there is almost everything you can think of that could happen when you least expect it.....

      You mean never trust anyone.

  4. The B division already have it, but not for all lines. The has it like the A division, but the other lines that have train arrival signs use them in a different way. The IND Eighth avenue, IND Queens Blvd, BMT Broadway, BMT Astoria, and BMT 4th Avenue lines have at least one station with a similar function to the A division arrival signs. Instead of saying when the next train arrives, they tell you how many stations a local and/or express train is from your current station. As far as I know, the only station to say a specific line is 175th Street on the downtown train only. Edit: Apparently, another 267 B division stations are planned to be equipped with arrival signs as part of the 2015-2019 capital plan, but with the problems with the plans already, this is subject to change.
  5. That's what I mean't. The R179s were to be delivered on December 2014, but got delayed to July 2015. I actually thought they were to be delivered last summer, but I think got the dates mixed up.
  6. I was reading nydailynews, and I just found out that the first R179 is expected by July 2015, a year later than it was originally supposed to be delivered. I mean December of this year, the rest are coming Between July 2015 and January 2017.
  7. Bloomberg wanted the to extend to NJ to connect to the NJT trains easier. I think Bloomberg has a great point. But even so, how long will it take for both Bloomberg and/or your proposal to even happen? 2040s?
  8. The has enough cars to operate service, so the R142As should stay on the . The reason why I said switch fleets with the and was because there are enough R62As to operate only on the and the might need an increase in service because sometimes, when I look for R62As on the Lexington or Pelham line, there is as much as a 10 minute wait for ONE UPTOWN . But again, it would be unlikely because of yard experiences. Also, the has select rush Hour trips to/from New Lots Avenue instead of Utica Avenue, so R142s can easily switch it's signs to New Lots Avenue, but the R62as can't. Although I can see it happening at one point, something tells me this is one of the stupidest ideas I have.
  9. Why send the R142s to the 240 street yard if the yard never experienced NTTs? The will keep it's few R142As and run mostly R62As unless for some reason, the decides to do a complete fleet swap on the and which will have only R62As on the and nearly half R142 and half R142As on the . Like it was said before, any other ideas besides the and fleet swaps are VERY UNLIKELY to happen because of yard experiences.
  10. The two northern stops, St George and Tompkinville have an exit and entrance fee. All other stops are free to ride on.
  11. Oh ok. But it still is my first time on a married coupled set, so I'd like to take a moment and save the image I got from it.
  12. Well we both have different perspectives of what once in a lifetime is.
  13. We just started seeing the R68A run on the this summer. And very soon, maybe when the R179s appear, the R68As will no longer run on the .
  14. To me it is exclusive because how many married couples R46s can you spot on the train?( I expect them on the , but I guess anything can happen.) I mean, it's not a once in a life time exclusive like an R68A train, but you can't see married couples on most R46 trains.
  15. I rode an R46 train with MARRIED COUPLES 6218, 6216, 6240, and 6242!!!!!!! When I figure out how to put 3ds videos on the web, I'll show everyone that exclusive I caught!!!!
  16. I mean the station that was opened to replace the South Ferry loops, not a completely new one.
  17. I'm guessing it was for the R110B because in the recent roster, it dosen't show the 67' or R110B section. Idk why it existed on the roster in the first place as the R110B retired at the very beginning of the 21st century.
  18. The JoeKorner website doesn't say so. http://www.thejoekorner.com/carassignments/bmt-ind-2014-09-28.html
  19. The new South Ferry Station is planned to open sometime in 2016.
  20. Yesterday a soccer ball that one of my classmates kicked in gym class ended up on the metro north tracks..... SMH....

      MTA Dude

LOL! Hope it won't be the cause of the next derailment.

  21. The and are switching almost their entire fleet. The will be using mostly R62As and about 60-80 R142As while the will have the converted R142A and brand new R188s. The only other line to be affected (and it might not be permanent) is the because it sent some of it's R62As to the , requiring it to use R62s from the .
  22. What a day for the NYC subway!!!! Today, a hijacker steals a R46 from the Jamaica yard, and because he didn't know about 75 footers not allowed on the BMT Eastern Division, he gets it stuck on the between Myrtle Avenue and Central Avenue. Because of this incident, the Lenox avenue line is shut down in order to recreate the 142 street junction and not delay the downtown and uptown . Also, gang members make a base at the South Ferry loops, and the NYPD goes after them, making the loops unusable for service. The South Ferry loops are not the only loops affected. The City Hall loop is unusable due to long term construction. And to top it off, it is 1986 all over again on the Manhattan Bridge with one difference: THERE IS NO SERVICE AT ALL. Reroute or suspend the
  23. Idk why, but it's not like the train needed an 11 car set because it was just for Bloomberg and other local leaders.
  24. The MTA used an R62A 6 car set, not a 11 car set, so the train was too short to fill the entire station.
