    That is true, I was a signal maintainer for a few month after I resigned due to personal issues ..more then half my class didn't know English well but they passed the test..I dont see why they would ask safety questions before training..sucks .. How to use a ladder? Wear your ppe at all times?

    the helper actually is the one protecting the maintainers on the track so it's very important they know good English to communicate well etc

    Hey guys,who ever goes in for the SAP test can you keep us in the loop and let us know what to look out for..would appreciate it I'm hoping after the SAP they start to hire ..I'm hoping to be a helper as a light maintenance or elevator off this test

    I believe this test was based for numerous positions such as signals, ventilation and drainage, power,telephone, light maintenance, elevators etc

    honestly, I think the SPA test is a test to see if you understand English and speak English because working on the tracks and being a helper its crucial you communicate well because any bad communication can cause your life and others

    Hey guys ,I received a letter today regarding exam 8611 transit electrical helper to come in for a SPA test? Has anyone done this ? How long after this test they hire you?

    Wow 97 ,I stand no chance with a 82

    That's good to know to have options open,signals pay very well with a lot of ot..people are making 120k easily that is why signals might be full

    When you got called in for CI did the letter state CI? Are you a CI now if not what happened?
