  3. Hanging in there bro,time will tell ..my first pratical is Dec 18th
  4. Anyone has a simple definition for grade time sign with a 10mph,diverging grade time with 10mph and diverging station time with 10mph

You'll get a schedule, for example my schedule is dated from 10/26 thru June 2016 of where we meet etc..I'm in the B division so we meet in every yard or stations within the B division. .Monday we meet in concourse yard in the bronx because the B and D trains go there..it's a real hassle due to the traveling involved..they really don't want you to drive because anything happens to your car that's all on you..if the train is late you would take down that train info and give your tss ,they will investigate...so basically you'll be at the train station early such as 3am,4am just to get to your destination but all depends on your location. ..once you reach your yard location you'll meet with your classmates in a small classroom..you'll go over things your suppose to have read and there you'll ask all your questions then your off to a train if your lucky to get one and you will start learning about that particular train and learn cuts and adds,getting train ready for service etc which is all in your praticals
  6. For you guys waiting for the call,I would suggest to get alot of stuff done at the mean time...dmv,fixing the house etc because it will be hard to do during training
  7. B DIVISION, it's been 2 days so far this meeting among the TSS been taking place..mean time we are just stuck in class wasting 2 days when we can get prepared for our yard pratical
  8. Right now there is a big meeting taking place with all of the TSS ,I'm assuming because of the drop out rate..as for school car. .I'm taking it one step at a time but you can easily fail due to.a pratical or signal exam
  9. I took an emergency leave ,some people had fmla and end up doing that Mines end in end of January so I'll see how I do on my practical and first signal
  10. Staten,make sure you take a leave of absence. .to those who is leaving a job to become a T/O ..don't quit your current job because honestly I won't bs you guys..sometimes you never know ..might not be for you

  13. Today we reported to Jamaica yard,cut and adds on a r160 ,taking it one day at a time bro

Bro ,this shit ain't a walk in the park ,haha..i won't sit here and lie but more a d more I'm thinking of throwing the towel..the training here is a joke. .it can be a better way to train. .everyone it's not even concentrating on there praticals,or other quizzes, exams etc all there worrying about is these dam signal exams where you have to get 100% on both..it's tss stressful and didn't think the training would be so horrorendous
  15. No need to be embarrassed, I know the feeling. .it's not a job for everyone..im on a 3 month leave with my previous job ..i will see how I do on the practical and if I pass then the first signal exam
  16. Definitely mikeems,all the best bro..might be a breeze for you man..for me I just don't like the way they do things here..the money is great but if my previous job would give me a few dollars more I wouldn't hesistate

The problem with study groups is that everyone don't have the time,or some people rather study on there own..the training is not what a lot of people expected honestly. .a lot of people rather start off as a conductor and maybe just go t/o from there ..some people rather stay a conductor. .pay is not a huge difference as well ..

Tss lovell is excellent, I don't have him unfortunately but I can tell you the training sucks ..if there is no train available to train on ..that's your day ..sit in class and waste the day..i believe the training can be better, some TSS are cocky because there already on the job and your just a list number to them..school car changed on Jan 2015 and it just gets harder due to new bullitens..i barely surviving this and so is my other class mates..one dropped out already so leaves us with 9...if you have a job as we speak take a leave don't quit ..you never know..there are days I wake up and say screw this ..but I just suck it up and fetch my two big bags and proceed on my 2.5 hours of subway traveling time ..because you will be in every yard within your division you choose..but I'll see how my first practical go and hopefully signal test the first one
  19. Yea the drug test is fast hopefully and then they will call you 3 to 90 days usually they will call you in 1 to 2 weeks ..so make sure you leave them your cell number
  20. It's just sucks the way they do things,you could of been a great T/O but was nervous on a dam signal exam and your terminated over 1 signal it just sucks because you left your job for this
  21. Dammit,is it one with yellow over yellow ? Diverging route?
