Who the heck voices grand central for the LIRR? It sounds so off and bassy!

    Charlie Pellet.

How often do the M3 train cars run in service. Is there an easier timeframe to catch one or is it just pure luck.

They can show up whenever. The best time is during rush hour, but they’re running on random trips throughout the day. An M3 was running on the Hempstead Branch all day on Sunday, so they’ll be running more frequently as service to GCM picks up.

I might be wrong about KB getting XE60s, can't find a source mentioning this, only 60 XE40s on order that have yet to be assigned to an depot.

Don't know where I got XE60s to KB from, facepalm lol. I did see an XE60 in Washington Heights on Broadway a couple days ago NIS, don't know why an Quill bus would be that far north.

I know that one of the XEs ran on the (A) shuttle a few days ago, that might be why.

7171 still has it, I saw it yesterday. As for 7021, I don't know, I can only keep track of 7171. Do 7506-7510 still have them?

7171 only has one side of the signs left, that's probably what you saw. They removed one of the signs on the car and kept the other one (don't even know why 🤷‍♂️)

As for 7501-7510, yes they still do. (Ironically 7505 is paired with 7406 and 7506 is paired with 7405 at the moment)

If this question was answered before, then I apologize in advance.

When was it decided for the R62A's on the (6) to lose the signage LED's. I saw some whole train sets without them so I was curious.

They started losing them eariler this summer. Word going around is that they're being taken off to prevent being stolen from vandals. There's only one set with the LEDs running around.

Why does the KB and GH run 40 footers on artic routes during the summer? Is it because a shortage of artics or interlining? I rode an Nova Hybrid on the BX9 today and the bus was filled to capacity. Bus was crush loaded while climbing that steep hill on Kingsbridge road. It was an slow climb but the bus made it lol.

Both depots tend to throw standard buses on their artic routes during the rush, it's been like that for a while now.

So Bustime is showcasing the updated routings of the altered Bronx routes. Here's the info that is showing on BusTime, but feel free to correct this post if you have the actual info on what the new display signages say:

Bx4A: W FRMS RD S BL via MTRPLTN via WSTCHSTR.

Bx11: Parkchester via 170 St, via E 174 St. Some C40s read "via Claremont Parkway" instead of 170th

Bx15: Displays remain the same as they were on the weekday locals.

Bx18: "E 170 ST-Gr Con via HGHBRDG via MRRS HTS" for one loop. The reverse loop has "E 170 ST via Gr Con/MRRS HTS via HGHBRDG". Each of the loops has its own designation. The ones that go Highbridge then Morris Heights are the "Undercliff Loop", the others read "Sedgwick Loop" (which honestly should've been reflected on BusTime as well, as it's easier to distinguish than the mumbo jumbo that's currently on the site)

Bx25: Same as the Bx26, with the reverse trip having Bay Plaza listed instead of Earhart Lane. Side note, the Bx25 reads the full "via Allerton Av" as opposed to the Bx26's "via Allerton" on the Hanovers

Bx29: Uses the same Pelham Bay signage found on Bx5 & Bx12 displays.

Bx30: Pelham Pkwy via Boston Rd.

    Bx35: W Farms RD-Jennings St via E 167-169 St.

Bx36: Added "via Tremont Av", but BusTime has the "GW Bridge" and "Pugsley Av" signage missing on its provided info. Yep, both "GW Bridge" and "Pugsley Av" were removed from the signage

Bx40: Added "via 180-Burnside" for eastbound buses, "via E TRMNT AV, via 180-BURN" for westbound buses.  See below

Bx42: Added "via 180-BU, via E TRMNT" for eastbound buses, "via E Tremont Av, via 180-BU" for westbound buses. Both the 40 and 42 read "via E Tremont Av / via 180-Burnside" westbound, and "via 180-Burnside / via E Tremont Av" eastbound

M100: MANHTTNVILLE W 125 ST via BWAY, via AMSTRDM. The full signage reads "Manhattanville" then "St Nicholas Ave / W 125 ST" then "via Broadway / via Amsterdam"

M125: BusTime has "Manhattanville-12 Av via 125 St" for Westbound buses. Eastbound buses have "The Hub-3 Av/149 St via 125 St".

Again, feel free to correct this post if you have the info on how the displays are shown in-person.
